On 03/21/2026 at approx. 1130 hours 1 (Ofc. Wilson) responded to [300 BLOCK] N. 14th St. in non emergency mode in reference to a domestic disturbance.

Dispatch advised a black female was attempting to strike multiple jiuveniles with a metal pipe in the yard of [300 BLOCK] N. 14th St.

Upon arriva I observed a female on the porch of [300 BLOCK] N. 14th St. holding a metal pipe in her hand, I approached the female and instructed her to drop the pipe, the female refused to drop the pipe and attempted to step back into the residence. I instructed the female to step out of the residence and put her hands behind her back, the female complied and was detained in double locked handcuffs behind her back. The female refused to identify herself.

I then went to [300 BLOCK] N. 14th St. and made contact with [WITNESS #1], who advised her neighbor at [300 BLOCK] N. 14th St. was chasing her 3 juvenile children around her backyard with a metal pipe swinging it in an attempt to strike the children. [WITNESS #1] also advised the female was cursing at her children.

[WITNESS #1] advised her cousin [WITNESS #2] observed the incident as well. [WITNESS #2] advised she observed the female chasing the juveniles while swinging the pipe and cursing at them.

The female was placed in the back of my patrol vehicle and transported to the Spalding County jail using the most direct route.

Jail staff was familiar with the female and identified her as Lyons, Shanda. Lyons was found to have 3 warrants out of Spalding County. The warrants were confirmed through dispatch and Lyons was turned over to jail staff.

Warrants were obtained for Simple assault, obstruction of officers(M) as well as disorderly conduct.
