On 06/11/2026 at approximately 1123 Hours. I PTL Jackson 4084, responded in a non-emergency mode to 914 Everee Inn Rd (Roots), which is located within the City of Griffin Spalding County Georgia, to a report of fight that had already occurred. My department issued worn body camera was activated.
Upon my arrival, I was met by the caller [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] explained that on 06/11/2026 she had a verbal dispute over the phone with one of her cousins [REDACTED]. She explained that the dispute was nothing too serious and that it was a type of dispute any family or friends could have. She then explained that another cousin of hers (Prather, Shatila) had heard about the dispute by speaking with [REDACTED] and, for some unknown reason, this made her mad at [VICTIM #1].
[VICTIM #1] then explained that as she was at work, Prather pulled into the parking lot in a black Chevy Cruz with other females in the car. Once Prather was at [VICTIM #1]’s place of work, she proceeded to walk up on the front porch of the business. [VICTIM #1] then stated that she had walked outside with a customer and, when she opened the door, Prather attacked her by punching her in the top left side of her face closer to her eye before proceeding to punch her multiple more times in her head. I did view [VICTIM #1]’s face where she was initially hit; it was slightly red as if she had been struck. [VICTIM #1] also had me feel on the backside of her head where I felt a knot, which is common when a head injury is received.
[VICTIM #1] then stated that once Prather hit her multiple times, she got back in the vehicle and left the scene. She also stated that during this incident there were multiple other females inside of the car, with some filming the fight. Once I had this information, I was directed to the business owner [WITNESS #1]. [WITNESS #1] stated that she was in the front office area closest to the door when she saw Prather pull into the parking lot in front of her business very quickly, which caught her attention. She then stated that once [VICTIM #1] walked outside, she witnessed the attack and opened the door to try and break it up. She then gave the same account of Prather getting back into her vehicle and leaving the scene. [WITNESS #1] did report that there were no cameras on the building that could have captured the incident.
Neither [VICTIM #1] nor [WITNESS #1] could give me the license plate on the vehicle, but could provide me with Prather’s information and that she lived on Anne St ([900 BLOCK] but could not specify where). I then took photos of [VICTIM #1], which will be uploaded to Patrol Pics, and Flock was checked for the vehicle Prather was driving, but I was unable to locate it. [VICTIM #1] and [WITNESS #1] both completed victim/statement forms on the incident, and I was advised by [VICTIM #1] that she wanted to pursue charges on Prather.
Once I left the scene, myself and PTL Belle #4098 went to [900 BLOCK] Anne St. to attempt to make contact with Prather, as it was her latest address on RMS, but she was not there. I also checked [1100 BLOCK] W College Ext., which was an address on GCIC for Prather, but no contact was made there either.
Based on the information from [VICTIM #1] and [WITNESS #1] and being that I had physical proof of injuries, I will be seeking charges on Prather for the offenses of Battery, Affray, and Disorderly Conduct. The battery charge will no be listed as family violence due to [VICTIM #1] stating that her and Prather do not live together and haven’t in the past.
