Officer’s Narrative:

On 03/15/25 at 0800 hours I, Sgt. Deason responded in non emergency mode to [600 BLOCK] [REDACTED] Northside Dr. in reference to meeting with person. Dispatch advised B/F [WITNESS #1] DOB/99 called stating that B/M [VICTIM #1] DOB /98 dropped 3 kids off at apartment [REDACTED] but that the kids mother B/F Stamps, Tamia DOB /01 was not at the location. I also noticed in RMS that there was a welfare check called in last date at [600 BLOCK] Northside Dr. where Tamia called wanting a welfare check done on the kids who were with [VICTIM #1], stating that [VICTIM #1] was threatening to leave the kids at the park at the location. Special Agent Fuller made contact with [VICTIM #1] who advised that he was trying to get in touch with Tamia but had the kids with him.

While still en route to the location [VICTIM #1] called dispatch wanting to speak with a Deputy. I made contact with [VICTIM #1] via phone who advised that last date that Tamia dropped their three kids off with him without any prior notification or even speaking to him. [VICTIM #1] advised that this morning that he took the kids back to Tamia’s apartment and dropped the kids off with her. I advised [VICTIM #1] that I was en route to the location but that Tamia’s friend had called stating that he dropped the kids off and that Tamia was not at the location. [VICTIM #1] advised that Tamia was at the location when he dropped the kids off and that he had direct contact with her when he was dropping the kids off.

Upon arriving at apartment [REDACTED] I made contact with Tamia who was at the location. Tamia advised that [VICTIM #1] came over to her apartment and broke in and dropped the kids off without her being there. Tamia advised that her friend [WITNESS #1] had been at the location when the kids were dropped off and that was who called 911. It should be noted that when [WITNESS #1] called 911 to advised the kids were dropped off without Tamia there that [WITNESS #1] called from Tamia’s phone number. I was also advised by Tamia that she had recently filed child support/custody agreement papers through Clayton County but that nothing had been signed by a judge at this time. It was also determined that [VICTIM #1] has not been legitimized and has no legal rights to the kids and that Tamia has sole custody of the kids.

Tamia advised that she is also pregnant and that [VICTIM #1] keeps coming over and fu*king her getting her pregnant but then doesn’t act as a father to the kids. I advised Tamia that until [VICTIM #1] was legitimized or there was legal paperwork stating that [VICTIM #1] is the father of the kids that the kids are her responsibility. Tamia kept saying that [VICTIM #1] broke into her house. I asked Tamia how he broke in and she said that she didn’t know to look at the back door. I went and looked at the back door and there were no signs of forced entry. Tamia asked if she could get a tpo for [VICTIM #1]. I advised her that I could not issue a tpo but explained the tpo process to her. Tamia also advised that she was already working with Promise Place in reference to the papers that she had filed through the courts.

At 0856 hours I was dispatched to [VICTIM #1]’s apartment at [REDACTED] in reference a pregnant female waiving a gun around and trying to pistol whip and shoot people. Upon my arrival I made contact with [VICTIM #1] who advised that Tamia came over to pick up groceries but advised that while she was at the location that she had a gun and pointed it at him, his mother B/F [VICTIM #2] DOB /79, and his girlfriend B/F [VICTIM #3] DOB /01. [VICTIM #1] stated that [WITNESS #1] came up to get the groceries being disrespectful and then Tamia got of the car with a gun and pointed it at all of them. [VICTIM #1] advised the gun was a Taurus 9mm handgun. [VICTIM #1] provided a written statement.

I also spoke with [VICTIM #2] who advised that she walked outside with the groceries when Tamia got out of the car with a gun and started waiving it around and pointing it at her stating “somebody is gonna die today”. [VICTIM #2] described the gun as a black handgun. [VICTIM #2] provided a written statement.

I also spoke with [VICTIM #3] who advised that when she arrived back at the location from going to the store that Tamia was already on scene with a gun. [VICTIM #3] stated that Tamia waived the gun around in her face and pointed it at her also. [VICTIM #3] also described the gun as a black handgun. [VICTIM #3] provided a written statement.

I then went back to apartment [REDACTED] and made contact with Tamia. Tamia advised that she went to [REDACTED] with [WITNESS #1] to get grocery items back for the kids. Tamia advised that [VICTIM #1] tried to come outside so she tried to back up the car. Upon asking Tamia where the gun was [WITNESS #1] stated “there was no gun”. Tamia then stated that her gun was inside the apartment and that she had it with her when she went to the location but that it was in the holster. Tamia was placed under arrest. Deputy Holmes patted Tamia down for weapons and contraband with none located. Tamia’s handcuffs were placed in the front due to her being pregnant and double locked and checked for proper fit.

Prior to leaving the location I went inside the residence with Tamia so that she could pack a bag for the kids with [WITNESS #1]. I asked Tamia where the gun was located and she asked [WITNESS #1] what she did with her gun. [WITNESS #1] advised that she placed the gun under the mattress in the kids bed in the bedroom. I retrieved the gun from under the mattress. The gun is a Taurus TH9C 9mm handgun Serial Number TMB67723. The gun was placed in a evidence locker to be held for evidence. Tamia was transported to detention where she was turned over to detention Deputies without issue. The back seat of my patrol car was checked prior to as well as after transport.

Warrants were obtained on Tamia for 2 counts of Agrravated Assault against [VICTIM #2] and [VICTIM #3] (Warrant Number 25-EW-002043 and 25-EW-002045) and one count of Aggravated Assault FVA against [VICTIM #1] (Warrant Number 25-EW-002044).
