On the 8th day of November 2025, I, Deputy J.Reeves responded in emergency mode to [100 BLOCK] Peachtree St in reference to shots fired and an active fight.

Upon arrival I activated my county issued body camera and made contact with a group of individuals on the front porch and in the front yard of the property. The first individual I spoke with was [WITNESS #1], she stated her boyfriend and her nephew were in a physical altercation before they both began shooting at each other and one half of the altercation left the scene. [WITNESS #1] pointed her boyfriend out who was sitting on the steps of the home and stated he was the first to begin shooting.

At this time other deputies had arrived on scene and were already speaking with [WITNESS #1]’s boyfriend later identified as Terry Douglass. While speaking with Terry blood was observed coming from his right leg but when he was asked if he was shot he stated he did not believe so. Terry was placed into handcuffs at this time behind his back and they were double locked and checked for proper fit due to him being involved and there being possibly multiple guns involved but none located at that time. Terry was also pat down for any weapons but none were found on him.

Upon the blood being observed I notified dispatch to have EMS enroute due to Terry having a gunshot wound. Prior to investigating any further I attempted to walk Terry over to a patrol vehicle to place him in the back while we waited on EMS but as I was walking him towards the vehicle Terry stopped and when I asked him if he was okay he stated he was not before going slightly limp so I layed Terry on the ground and began to check his leg for any visible wounds. On Terry’s right foot I observed a single gunshot would that appeared to enter through the outside of his foot and exit out the inside. No tourniquet was applied to Terry’s leg due to it not actively bleeding. I stood by with Terry until EMS arrived. Once they were on scene Terry was placed on the stretcher and the handcuffs were removed from him. He was then turned over to EMS. I was advised Terry would be taken to the hospital in Henry County due to Life flight not being able to fly.

During this time while I was standing with Terry deputies on scene observed the following, in the front windshield of a Dodge Durango on the property with GaTag# [REDACTED] was a bullet hole in the top of the windshield also visible from the outside of the vehicle was a damaged round sitting on top of the rearview mirror inside the vehicle. Two used shell casings were located at the back of the vehicle on the passenger side and two separate drops of blood were located on the driver side of the vehicle on the ground. These items were marked until they could be collected.

I spoke with [WITNESS #1] again and she stated that her nephew she identified as Jamari Bostwick arrived on scene and was looking for TJ who she stated was her boyfriend Terry. [WITNESS #1] stated Terry and Jamari had an incident that occurred the previous night on 11-07-2025 but she was not aware of the circumstances of the incident. When Jamari arrived on scene he exited his vehicle and was looking for Terry, when Terry exited the home and walked up to Jamari, Jamari struck Terry in the face with his fist. Once Terry was struck in the face he then turned around and ran around the fence in between their property and an abandon property next door.

While Terry was out of view [WITNESS #1] heard a single gunshot before Terry returned holding an AR-15 style rifle down by his side. Once Terry was back in front of the property she stated another gunshot was heard but she was not sure if it was Terry or Jamari who fired this round because at this time Jamari had moved behind the Dodge Durango on the property. Jamari began shooting at Terry from behind the Durango and once Jamari shot at Terry, [WITNESS #1] stated Terry went back around the home and disappeared out of view again. Jamari followed in the same direction Terry went but she did not state she heard anymore gunshots at this time. Jamari returned to his vehicle which she stated was parked in front if the home and left the scene. Terry walked back around the property and sat on the porch and [WITNESS #1] stated she told him she called the police to which she advised Terry stated it’s okay I know I am going to jail.

There was a total of three individuals other then the two, Jamari and Terry involved that witnessed the incident.

I spoke with another female on scene [WITNESS #2] and she gave the same account of the incident as [WITNESS #1] did. Due to the large number of individuals on scene upon my arrival everyone was identified. The individuals on that were on scene upon my arrival but were not present during the incident are as follows [REDACTED], [REDACTED], [REDACTED]. Also on scene during the incident was [REDACTED] but he was uncooperative when asked questions about the incident. [WITNESS #1] could not provide a date of birth for Jamari but I checked RMS and took a photo of an individual with that name on my county issued cell phone and the photo was shown to [WITNESS #1], she positively identified the individual I showed her as her nephew.

CID and Crime scene was notified by Lt.Storey and while waiting for them I began searching for the firearm [WITNESS #1] stated Terry was in possession of. [WITNESS #1] allowed us access to them home due to us not knowing where the firearm possibly could be and while I was in the home Deputy Clark located the firearm in the back yard of [100 BLOCK] Peachtree St which was an abandon property next door to [100 BLOCK] Peachtree. The firearm was laying in a group of trees and bushes near the fence but on the side of [100 BLOCK] Peachtree St. Deputy Clark stood by with the firearm until crime scene arrived on scene to collect and document the weapon. Once CID arrived I met with Investigator Smith and advised him of the evidence already found and at this time he asked me to come inside with him while he spoke with the witnesses on scene. Once investigator Smith finished speaking with witnesses on scene. The scene was turned over to him.
