On 04/19/2026 I, Deputy Whitmer responded in Non Emergency Mode to [50 BLOCK] Park Avenue due to a report of a Domestic incident.

I responded to this location prior to this incident due to Trisha Morgan being intoxicated and trying to leave the residence in a vehicle with her 4 week old infant. Trisha’s parents [WITNESS #1] and [WITNESS #2] stated that Trisha had arrived back at the residence heavily intoxicated. They stated that Trisha began yelling demanding to leave with her daughter. They stated they told her to go to sleep they would care for the infant and she could leave in the morning after she sobered up.

I spoke with Trisha during this incident and informed her that her parents were doing the right thing that she was not physically abele to care for the infant due to her being intoxicated. Trisha agreed she would go to sleep and sober up. [WITNESS #1] and [WITNESS #2] took the infant in their bedroom and put the child to bed while I was on scene.

I arrived back at the location and spoke with [WITNESS #1]. He stated that [WITNESS #2], the infant and himself were in the bedroom sleeping. He stated Trisha came out of her bedroom screaming and yelling she wanted her child. [WITNESS #1] stated he instructed her to go back to bed. He stated Trisha kicked his bedroom door open and began her beligerent behaviour as he was calling 911.

I could hear Trisha still screaming as I was standing on the front porch and she was in the far rear bedroom. I went inside the residence and located Trisha in her bedroom. I instructed her to stand up and place her hands behind her back. Deputy H. Dix handcuffed Trisha’s hands behind her back. Deputy Dix checked the cuffs for fit and double locked them before walking Trisha outside and securing her inside the rear seat of her patrol vehicle.

I spoke with [WITNESS #3]. She stated she witnessed the incident and when Trisha kicked the door in she approached Trisha and told her to go back to bed.

I contacted the on call DFACS worker [REDACTED]. [REDACTED] stated that there was an already open case involving this same behaviour from Trisha and she would be adding to the report. [REDACTED] advised to leave the infant in the custody of the grandparents and she would advise the case agent to follow up Monday.

Deputy Dix transported Trisha to the Spalding County Jail.

I obtained warrants for the following:

Simple Assault FVA- 26-EW-002814
Criminal Trespass Damage FVA-26-EW-002815
Child Abandoment-26-EW-002816
