On May 8th, 2026, I Deputy Walker and Deputy Dix responded to [REDACTED] in non-emergency mode in reference to a domestic.
Upon our arrival we were advised by dispatch that there was two subjects arguing by the name of [VICTIM #1] (B/F DOB /2003) and Wyderius Andrews ( B/M DOB /2001). Dispatch also advised us that Wyderius had six active warrants from a previous case (2026-00880), the warrants were for 2 counts of cruelty to children (Warrant# 26-EW-0075731 and 26-EW-0075732, Interference with a 911 call (Warrant# 26-EW-0075734), theft by taking (Warrant# 26-EW-0075735) criminal trespass (Warrant# 26-EW-0075736), and Battery-FV (Warrant# 26-EW-0075737).
Deputy Ruthosky and Deputy Whitmer went to the back door to prevent Wyderius from running. While Deputy Dix and I entered the apartment common area, there was blood seen on the floor in front of the apartment front door. Deputy Dix knocked on the door and upon listening we heard Deputy Whitmer yelling commands for Wyderius to put his hands up. Wyderius tried running through the back door, and Deputy Whitmer and Deputy Ruthosky was able to stop him.
Deputy Ruthosky placed handcuffs on Wyderius wrists to the back of him, checked for proper fit, and double locked the cuffs. I escorted Wyderius to Deputy Dix patrol car and placed him in the backseat. Deputy Dix and I began looking for [VICTIM #1]. Dispatch advised us she was walking back to the apartment to meet with us.
As I was exiting the apartment to go to Deputy Dix patrol car for gloves, [VICTIM #1] and a female by the name of [WITNESS #1], (B/F DOB: /2001) was sitting on the curb in front of the apartment door. [VICTIM #1] stated the argument began at the threshold of the kitchen and livingroom about food stamps. [VICTIM #1] stated her kids, and was in the bedroom. [VICTIM #1] advised that she was on the phone with dispatch. She stated that Wyderius was trying to argue with her and then he swung at her. She fell on the floor and Wyderius continued punching her. [WITNESS #1] stated that she then began pulling Wyderius off [VICTIM #1] when he then struck [VICTIM #1] busting her chin open. [WITNESS #1] seperated Wyderious and [VICTIM #1].
After speaking with [VICTIM #1], I went to Deputy Dix’s patrol vehicle to speak with Wyderius. Wyderius stated that [VICTIM #1] was argumentative. Wyderius stated that they were arguing at the threshold of the kitchen and living room when he was trying to get his shirt and leave when [VICTIM #1] swung on him and yanked out parts of his beard. He stated he pushed her trying to defend himself and she fell coming towards him. Wyderius had a small scratch on his face.
Due to [VICTIM #1]s chin being busted, speaking to a witness, and the witness having the same story as [VICTIM #1], and Wyderius attempting to run from law enforcement. I found Wyderius to be the primary aggressor in this incident.
Myself and Deputy Dix transported Wyderius to the Spalding County Jail where he was turned over to detention staff without incident. Deputy Dix’s patrol vehicle was searched before and after Wyderius was in it for any contraband. No contraband was found.
Deputy Whitmer advised me that he listened to the 911 call that [VICTIM #1] had with dispatch. He advised me that he heard verbal threats from Wyderius stating that he was going to throw a glass bottle at [VICTIM #1]’s head.
Both of our body worn cameras were activated during this incident. Deputy Dix ran criminal histories on both subjects. Rms was also checked for any past domestics, and they have been involved in other domestics as well (2026-00880, 2026-00634, and 2025-01931).
I obtained warrants through the Magistrate Court on Wyderious for two counts of Cruelty to children – 3rd degree (Warrant# 26-EW-003143 & 26-EW-003144), and Battery-FV (Warrant# 26-EW-003145)
