On Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at approximately 1035 hours, Sgt. Hill and Deputy Carlton were dispatched to Duren Drive in Thomasville, Georgia, in reference to a domestic dispute involving injuries and a weapon.

While on the way, Thomas County Dispatch advised that the complainant, later identified as Tristin Scudder, reported his father, [VICTIM #1], had come to his residence and created a disturbance. Tristin further advised that during the altercation, his father attempted to take his firearm from him, and he subsequently shot his father in the back. Tristin stated that his father was now unresponsive.

Deputy Carlton then transported Tristin to the Thomas County Jail, their arrival time was approximately 1055 hours. Tristin didn’t say anything. Deputy Carlton did ask Tristin his legal name along with his birthday to run his information through G.C.I.C, and that was all that was said/asked.
