On 9/19/22, at 1208 hours, I conducted a traffic stop on a white 2014 Honda Odyssey (FL tag [REDACTED]) for speeding (86/70) in the area of the 66 mile marker (northbound) on Interstate 75 (Tifton, GA 31794).
Upon making initial contact with the driver (offender), he provided a Honduras passport and explained that he did not have a driver’s license. A check through the Georgia Crime Information Center (GCIC) yielded no returns (and no wants).
The offender was subsequently arrested and transported to the Tift County Law Enforcement Center (LEC) where he was booked on the appropriate charges before being turned over to the detention officers.
The vehicle was released to the passenger (a licensed driver listed as other in the persons section of this report) who was also issued a citation (and released on a copy) for permitting an unlicensed person to drive after admitting he was aware the offender did not possess a valid driver’s license when he allowed him to take control of the vehicle.
