On Tuesday Mach 19, 2024 approximately 4:06 p.m. I responded to a call in reference to a fight. Upon my arrival I made contact with Mr. [VICTIM #1] who stated that a black male later identified as Theron Grady who was very intoxicated got in a argument with Mr. [VICTIM #1] and Grady through a beer to his wife and used a lots of profanity.
I asked Mr. [VICTIM #1] if he wanted for Grady leave his property and Mr. [VICTIM #1] replied “yes I don’t want him in my property any more and want him banded from here. I asked Grady to leave the property that he was banded and he could not return to this property any more. Grady left walking northbound on McIntosh Street.
Few minutes later after I left the property we got another call that grady had come back to the property and he was having words with Mr. [VICTIM #1] again. After I got out of my patrol unit I walked toward Grady and I told him that he was under arrest for Disorderly Conduct and Public Drunk. I placed Grady in handcuffs with his arms behind his back and double locked them.
At this time Officer C. Morgan arrived at the scene and assisted me by searching Grady and placing him in the rear seat of his patrol unit and placed the seatbelt and officer C. Morgan transported him to the Toombs County Detention Center where he was issued a Non-traffic citation for Disorderly Conduct and one for Public Drunk. Grady was turned over to the Detention Center staff.
The rear seat of Officer C. Morgan was checked before and after and no contraband was found.
