On Thursday, 7/23/26, at approximately 2037 hours, I, Sgt. Golden, was dispatched to [800 BLOCK] District Rd., in reference to a family member throwing out all the complainant’s things outside of the residence.
I arrived on scene and was met by the complainant, Ms. [WITNESS #1], and her brother, Mr. [VICTIM #1]. Mr. [VICTIM #1] is the owner of the residence at [800 BLOCK] District Rd. I could see a burn pile in the front yard, near the tree line, and a pile of other items that I was told came from inside the residence. At this time the suspect, Ms. Basley, appeared in the doorway of the residence and was smiling at her family and myself. I asked her what was going on and she stated that she did it, to just take her to jail. When I asked why she was burning things from inside the residence, she told me she was not going to talk to me or her family and she just wanted to go to jail.
Ms. Basley was taken into custody and transported to the Twiggs Co. LEC for processing. She is being charged with Terroristic Threats, Criminal Damage to Property in the 2nd Degree, Arson in the 3rd Degree, and Disorderly Conduct. Warrants to be taken, bodycam was in use.
