On August 16th, 2025 at approximately 1225 hours I, Sergeant Peavey, was dispatched to First Street in Danville in reference to a possible assault, near the roadway.
The complainant advised his nephew hit him several times with a handgun causing viable injury to the complainant face. There were also eyewitnesses on scene that were identified and their statements were freely given. The nephew had left the scene but we were able to locate him in Jeffersonville. He claimed he hit his uncle with a closed fist and did not have a firearm. The nephew, Italio Jones, was ultimately arrested on an existing Lauren’s County warrant as well as aggravated assault for this incident. He was transported to the Twiggs County LEC and turned over to the booking staff without incident.
