On 10/11/2025 I, Deputy Black, received a call for service at [600 BLOCK] Black Bottom Rd regarding a dog that had been shot. There I met with the caller, [REDACTED], who stated that someone had shot his dog. I was able to track the blood trail of the dog and located the animal in the bushes. While waiting on someone from an animal rescue to arrive I spoke with neighbors about the incident. I spoke with, Jataviuos Smith, who initially stated he knew nothing of the incident. During the course of my investigation Smith admitted to shooting the dog and was taken into custody.
