Her Boyfriend Told One Story. The Camera Showed Another.

On September 13, 2013, 26-year-old Tiffany Whitton ran barefoot out of a Walmart in Marietta, Georgia, after being confronted by loss-prevention employees. Her purse, shoes, and phone were left behind. She was never seen again. Her boyfriend, Ashley Caudle, was standing nearby when she disappeared. But as investigators began piecing together what happened that night, questions emerged about his account, the Walmart surveillance footage, and the events that followed. Why did Tiffany leave without her belongings? What happened after she ran into the parking lot? And why did it take nearly four months for her disappearance to be formally reported to police? In this episode of Behind The Headlines, Joshua John investigates the disappearance of Tiffany Michelle Whitton, examining witness statements, conflicting accounts, surveillance footage, and a mysterious claim of possible contact months after she vanished. But beyond the unanswered questions is the story of a young mother, daughter, and sister whose family has spent years searching for answers. Tiffany Whitton remains missing. If you have information about her disappearance, contact the Marietta Police Department's anonymous tip line at 770-794-6990.
