On 04/14/2026 at 2130, I, Sergeant Simpson, was made aware of an intoxicated male laying in the Food City parking lot (311 N Main St.) I arrived and immediately recognized Brandon Snow. Snow was lying in the middle of the parking lot. I pulled up to speak with Snow. Snow stood and I could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath. Snow was very unsteady on his feet, and he could not stand still.
I asked Snow what he was doing. Snow said he had a fight with his girlfriend and his stepfather just passed. Snow seemed very emotional and intoxicated. This caused Snow to be very hard to understand. I asked Snow if he had a place to go. Snow stated he could go to his mother’s house at [1200 BLOCK] W N Main St. I asked Snow if I could take him. Snow stated yes.
I asked Snow if I could pat him down. Snow again agreed. I felt a large box type item in Snow’s right front pocket. I asked him what it was. Snow attempted to answer but his speech was completely slurred. I could see the item, and I observed it to be a wine cooler of the “BeatBox” name brand. I loaded Snow into my patrol car and drove him to [1200 BLOCK] W N Main St.
We arrived and I asked him what apartment. Snow stated “[REDACTED]” and told me his mother’s name was “[REDACTED]”. I knocked on the door and a female answered. I asked the female if her name was [REDACTED] or if she knew anyone named [REDACTED]. The female stated no she did not. I thanked her for her time. I returned to the vehicle and asked Snow again what apartment.
Snow continued to point in a general direction and could not give an answer. I asked snow where else I could take him as I was attempting to help with the situation instead of taking him to jail. Snow stated I could take to [900 BLOCK] Hillsdale Rd. I transported him there. I spoke to the homeowner [REDACTED]. I asked [REDACTED] if Snow could stay there. [REDACTED] stated that he could not. I thanked [REDACTED] for his time and walked back to the vehicle.
With Snow having nowhere to go and him being severely intoxicated in public (15-4 Disorderly Conduct) I placed Snow under arrest. I had Snow step out of the vehicle and placed his hands behind his back. I placed Snow in handcuffs. I checked them for fit and double locked them. I transported Snow to the Walker County Jail and turned him over to the staff without issue.
While I was completing jail paperwork, Snow began to give issues to the jail staff. This resulted in the jail staff placing Snow on the ground to remove his cuffs. I held the door for the jail staff as they exited the holding cell. I charged Snow with 1504 Disorderly Conduct (city ordinance). Snow broke this city ordinance by being extremely intoxicated in public to the point that it risked his safety and the safety of others.
I will attach all paperwork to this report. I will also attach the picture of the “BeatBox” to this report. The beat box was emptied and the box was placed in the trash at the Wlaker County jail. I issued SNow a city oirdinance violation citation (117000941). The citation has a court date of 05/18/2026 at 1600. I will attach a copy to this report.
