[NARRATIVE #1 on May 23, 2026]
On the listed date and time, I was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a domestic.
Once on scene I spoke with the victim, who advised him and the listed suspect had gotten into a verbal argument, and the suspect threatened to kill him in his sleep. The victim then stated he told the suspect to leave and that he was calling 911, the victim then stated when he attempted to call 911 the suspect tried to stop him from calling by attempting to take the phone from him. I checked the victim for marks or bruises and none were seen.
The suspect then called the victim and I spoke with him, the suspect advised nothing happened but a verbal argument and that he did attempt to stop the victim from calling 911 due to it only being verbal, the suspect then agreed to return to the scene. Before he returned to the scene he was pulled over by Deputy Bragg due to the suspect being possibly intoxicated, possible charges from the incident, as well as hands-free law. The listed suspect would not state what occurred during the incident other than him attempting to stop the 911 call, I asked the victim if he wished to press charges on the suspect for hindering the 911 call he stated no, no other charges will be pursued due to lack of probable cause. The victim was given the victims bill of rights and a domestic violence form.

On the listed date and time I met Deputy Bragg at the listed location in reference to transporting the listed suspect to the jail. Upon arrival I took custody of the suspect and transported them to the jail where they were handed over to detention with no issues.

[NARRATIVE #3 on May 23, 2026]
On 5/23/26 I responded to the Walker County Sheriff’s Office to complete a breath test on the listed suspect for Deputy Bragg.
Upon arrival, I met with the suspect, who had already agreed to a state administered test of his breath after being read the Georgia implied consent notice by Deputy Bragg. Upon testing of the suspect’s breath, I recieved a result of .110 breath alcohol concentration.

[NARRATIVE #4 on May 23, 2026]
On 05/23/2026, while conducting stationary patrol at 1201 Lafayette Rd, I received a BOLO regarding the listed suspect. He was reported as the aggressor and was driving the listed case vehicle, a white smart car. The BOLO described him as a possibly intoxicated white male with long hair, last seen wearing shorts and a black shirt, with no weapons reported. I was also advised he might be heading to an address in Lafayette, GA.
Upon receiving this BOLO, I observed the listed case vehicle, occupied by the suspect, pass me at 1201 Lafayette Rd in violation of 40-6-241. I then conducted a traffic stop at 1750 Lafayette Rd. I identified myself to the suspect, who stated he understood the reason for the stop was the prior domestic incident and that he had been on his cell phone.
During the traffic stop, I detected a slight odor of an alcoholic beverage on the suspect’s breath and noted his speech was slurred. Based on these observations and the information from the BOLO, I initiated a DUI investigation.
During the horizontal gaze nystagmus test, I observed a lack of smooth pursuit, with the suspect’s eyes noticeably jerking rather than gliding. There was also distinct nystagmus at maximum deviation, with sustained jerking when the eyes were moved as far to the side as possible.
During the walk and turn test, I observed several heel-to-toe misses, consistent stepping off the line, and unsteady balance.
During the one-leg stand test, I observed the suspect swaying back and forth continuously.
Based on the evidence gathered and the suspect’s admission that he had approximately three drinks before the domestic incident, I determined he was under the influence and placed him under arrest. The handcuffs were double-locked and checked for proper fit. He was advised of and read implied consent, to which he agreed to provide a breath sample.
The suspect and the rear of my patrol vehicle were searched for weapons and contraband; none were found. He was then transported to the a/b line and turned over to Deputy Roberts for transport to the Walker County detention center without incident.
