On 04/11/2026 at approximately 0157 hours, I, Officer Haley, was dispatched to 1507 Broomtown Rd in reference to a possible assault between two employees.

Upon arrival, I spoke with the security guard at the checkpoint, who advised that both individuals involved were in the Human Resources office. I then made contact with management and HR staff inside the office. HR employee [REDACTED] stated there had been an altercation between two employees on the manufacturing floor.

I then spoke with one of the parties involved, Zachary Pinter. Pinter explained that he and another employee, later identified as [WITNESS #1], got into a verbal argument while working on the line. Pinter stated that [WITNESS #1] had been insulting him and called him a “crackhead,” referencing Pinter’s past addiction. According to Pinter, the argument escalated to the point where both of them talked about going outside to fight. He said no punches were actually thrown because another employee stepped in before anything physical happened.

I then spoke with a witness, [WITNESS #2]. [WITNESS #2] stated he saw Pinter and [WITNESS #1] arguing while working across from each other on the line. He said Pinter left his work area, walked around the line, and went up the catwalk toward [WITNESS #1]. [WITNESS #2] recalled Pinter saying he was going to “whoop his a*s.” At that point, [WITNESS #2] stepped in between the two to keep the situation from turning physical.

I then spoke with [WITNESS #1]. [WITNESS #1] explained that Pinter was “talking sh*t,” to which [WITNESS #1] admitted that he started “talking sh*t,” back. [WITNESS #1] continued, stating that Pinter stated he was going to beat [WITNESS #1] a*s, and walked all the way to him, to which the altercation then ensued.

HR allowed me to review the surveillance footage of the incident. In the video, I could see both Pinter and [WITNESS #1] arguing from opposite sides of the line. Pinter then walked away from his station, went around the line, and came up the catwalk toward [WITNESS #1] in an aggressive manner. Both men raised their hands like they were about to fight. [WITNESS #2] stepped in between them, and I observed Pinter swing toward [WITNESS #1] but miss due to [WITNESS #2] being in the way. Pinter continued trying to get around [WITNESS #2] by physically pushing him, while [WITNESS #1] eventually lowered his hands and went back to work.

Based on all statements and what I observed on camera, it was clear that Pinter escalated the situation by leaving his area, approaching [WITNESS #1], and attempting to strike him. [WITNESS #1] appeared to back off once [WITNESS #2] got involved and appeared to be defending himself. Due to all the evidence, I determined there was probable cause to charge Zachary Pinter with Disorderly Conduct (15-4).

Pinter was placed under arrest, handcuffed checked for fit and double lock and secured in the rear of my patrol vehicle. He was transported to the Walker County Detention Center without incident. Citation #131003242 was issued.

[WITNESS #1] stated he did not wish to press charges for Simple Assault.
