Officer’s Narrative:

On April 12th 2026, at approximately 2102 hours, I, Officer Herron, was dispatched to 2050 West Spring Street at the Walmart establishment in reference to a shoplifting.

Upon arrival, I made contact with the asset protection officer, [WITNESS #1], in the asset protection room. [WITNESS #1] stated that the accused, (Bridgette Perdichizzi), who was seated in the corner on a bench, acting hysterically, had shoplifted $84.44 worth of items.

[WITNESS #1] had the video camera footage readily available, which shows Bridgette scanning the items in her shopping cart. In the process of Bridgette scanning the items, she held multiple items in her hand, only scanning one while putting all the unscanned items in grocery bags.

In the process of [WITNESS #1] presenting the footage to me, Bridgette unprovokedly became loud and adamant about how she had money to pay for the items, presenting wads of cash, stating she was in a hurry, causing her to commit the act of shoplifting.

[WITNESS #1] had reviewed the camera footage multiple times and provided every item Bridgette had shoplifted, which consisted of the following:

Total amount: $84.44

I then asked [WITNESS #1] if she wanted to press charges on Bridgette for the act of Shoplifting. [WITNESS #1] insisted on pressing charges and wanting Bridgette criminally trespassed for a period two years from the establishment of Walmart Monroe.

In the process of gathering all the information about the crime, Officer Goodwin #352, began working on Bridgette’s criminal trespass notice. This was signed by both parties, and copies were left with both parties.

After I was informed [WITNESS #1] wanted to press charges against Bridgette, I instructed Bridgette to stand up, turn around, and put her hands behind her back. and which she ignored my lawful commands numerous times before I raised my voice and asserted the seriousness of the issue. Bridgette finally complied and put her hands behind her back, where she was handcuffed, the handcuffs were checked for proper fitment and double locked.

Bridgette was then escorted to my patrol vehicle parked outside the establishment, where she was searched incident to arrest. In the process of searching Bridgette, I located a red knife multi-tool on her hip in a holster, a brown wallet with a large amount of cash, numerous smartphones, a pink vape, and a small clear bag with a large quantity of three different types of pills.

Upon this discovery, I handed the bag of pills to Officer Goodwin, who was able to identify the pills as:

Quantity 7: (M523 10/325 Pill: white, capsule/oblong, 16mm), which contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone Hydrochloride. Total Pill Weight: 3.66 Grams

Quantity 24: (Logo 67: Blue, Round, 8mm), which contains Clonazepam 1 mg. Total Pill Weight: 3.87 Grams

Quantity 1: The third pill, which is (Round, Dark Teal, No Imprint), has remained unidentified. Total Pill Weight: 0.59 Grams

As I was securing Bridgette in the back of my patrol vehicle, she stated to me numerous times that she would pay me not to arrest her. I also confirmed what she said as I asked Bridget, “What did you say?”, She repeated the same statement.

I made contact with [WITNESS #1], the Asset Protection Officer, one more time, where she advised all the items Bridgette had scanned would be refunded. In which officer Goodwin was handed the currency and placed it inside Bridgette’s wallet.

Bridgette was then transported to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office jail, where I counted the cash the wallet contained in front of Bridgette, confirming that the amount was correct, which she stated it was. Bridgette was then turned over to the deputies without incident.

Warrants have been taken out for Bridgette for the following offenses, waiting on a judge’s signature:

Possession of Schedule IV: O.C.G.A. § 16-13-30(a), (c)
Possession of Schedule II: O.C.G.A. § 16-13-30(a), (b)
Misdemeanor Obstruction: O.C.G.A § 16-10-24(a)
Bribery of an Officer: O.C.G.A. § 16-10-2
Misdemeanor Shoplifting: O.C.G.A. § 16-8-14(b) (1)
Pills Not In Original Container: O.C.G.A. § 16-13-75(a) (2)
Possession of a Knife in the Commission of a Crime: O.C.G.A. § 16-11-106(b)

[WITNESS #1] was able to burn a CD containing the footage of Bridgette shoplifting and provided the original receipt Bridgette received and the receipt showing all the items shoplifted.

The receipts, CD, and Pills were booked into the evidence locker #15, under property receipt #37076.

I also submitted a GBI submission form for the pills to be chemically tested.
