On June 5th 2026, at approximately 0215 hours, I, Officer Herron, was dispatched to The Jax Apartments on Highway 78 in reference to an individual involved in an earlier dispute at the listed location (reference case number: 26M015108) who had begun driving intoxicated with her juvenile in the vehicle.
As I arrived in the area, I pulled into the gore line of Highway 78 Eastbound at the intersection of Ayecock Avenue, just in front of The Jax Apartments, waiting for the vehicle to enter the roadway and observe any fractions of the vehicle that may commit. Shortly after, I observed a vehicle matching the description leaving The Jax Apartments and pulling onto the Highway 78 eastbound lane, traveling westbound.
At this point, I initiated a traffic stop, activating my emergency lights, performing a U-turn so the vehicle would not perform a head-on collision with my patrol vehicle. The vehicle bearing the tag [REDACTED], which is registered to a 2018 White Dodge Journey, which performs an illegal U-turn, and the traffic stop comes to a halt on Ayecock Avenue at the intersection of The Jax Apartments.
Upon approach to the vehicle, I made contact with (Courtney Wallace). I asked Courtney Wallace if I needed to even state why I pulled her over, and she stated that I do not. Courtney also stated that she is unfamiliar with the area, causing her to commit the dangerous infraction. While speaking with Courtney, I observed she had bloodshot watery eyes, her breath emitted the odor of an alcoholic beverage, and when asked, she also advised that she had alcoholic beverages approximately 2 to 3 hours ago.
Upon initial approach, I also obtained the passenger’s identification as well, who is identified as [REDACTED BY AGENCY] [REDACTED]. I also observed a juvenile in the backseat who appeared to be under the age of 10 due to the juvenile’s size.
I’ve then returned to my patrol vehicle, radioing for another unit en route, and also performed a GCIC inquiry of Courtney and [REDACTED], whose information returned valid along with the vehicle’s registration and insurance. Upon Officer Robert Goodwin’s #352 arrival, I approached the vehicle once more and asked Courtney if she would be willing to participate in Standardized Field Sobriety Evaluations, which she complied with.
With the results for my standardized field sobriety evaluations conducted on Courtney, I placed Courtney under arrest for DUI alcohol less safe. Courtney was handcuffed behind her back. The cuffs were checked for proper fitment. The cuffs were double locked before she was escorted to my vehicle and patted down with the back of my hand to ensure there were no weapons or contraband on her person.
At this point, I read Courtney the Implied Consent Form for Suspects Over the Age of 21, and she agreed to administer chemical tests of her blood. Courtney then began stating she needed to call her father in order to let him know of the situation and to retrieve the car and her juvenile. When I approached the vehicle once more and made contact with [REDACTED], who had already made contact with Courtney’s father, [REDACTED], and he was en route to obtain the vehicle, and Courtney’s juvenile, identified as [REDACTED BY AGENCY], who is 7 years old.
Courtney was then transported to Piedmont Walton Hospital. While en route to the hospital, Courtney became extremely irate, using profane language and hurling insults toward me. Upon arrival at the hospital, I escorted Courtney to the entrance, and while waiting to be granted access into the facility, she beganе screaming profane language, getting within a foot of my face continuing the insults and profane language, and then turning towards the wall and performing an explicit dance known as “twerking” again within one foot of me.
As we were granted access to the facility, Courtney continued with her profane language and boisterous actions, disturbing the peace inside a controlled facility where individuals are seeking emergency medical treatment. The hospital staff attempted to calm Courtney down, but had no success.
While waiting for the phlebotomist to arrive to draw Courtney’s blood, Courtney stated that she had two hydroxyzine pills stuffed in her bra. I then asked Courtney if she would consent to having one of the female nurses pull the pills outside of her bra, which she consented to. A female nurse was then able to retrieve two circular Purple Pills stamped with “2”, and the nurse handed the pills directly to me after putting them in a biohazard bag. The pills were not in a prescription container. Afterward, Courtney continued her disorderly behavior and stated that “if I wasn’t in the handcuffs, I would fu*k you up.”
Upon the arrival of the phlebotomist, I removed one cuff from Courtney’s wrist, allowing the phlebotomist easier access to draw blood. Once the blood drawing process was done and I received the properly sealed package from the phlebotomist, I put the handcuffs in front of Courtney’s body, checking the cuffs for proper fitment, and then escorted her to my patrol vehicle.
Courtney was transported to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office jail, where she was turned over to the staff on scene without further incident. Courtney’s Blood Kit and the two circular purple pills were logged into Monroe Police Department’s Evidence under property receipt form #36880, along with a GBI testing Submission form.
