On 12/06/2025 at 1308 hours, I responded to [300 BLOCK] Towler Street in reference to shots fired. Female complainant advised her ex-boyfriend was firing shots at her as she was driving her vehicle out of the complex (Camptowne Garden Apartments). She stated the male was a black male driving a red pick up truck. Units arrived on scene but could not locate the victim. The victim stated that she fled the scene and went to the Auto Zone on E. Spring Street. Ofc. Higgins responded to that location to meet with her.

Ofc. Higgins met with the victim, Mrs. [VICTIM #1] (DOB [REDACTED BY AGENCY]/2002) who was not injured nor had any property damage. [VICTIM #1] stated that her ex-boyfriend, Mr. Gary Brown Jr (DOB [REDACTED BY AGENCY]/1996), saw her pull into the apartment complex. Brown then started running at [VICTIM #1] who did a quick U-turn to leave the property. Brown then fired several shot from a handgun which the victim described as a Taurus 9mm. [VICTIM #1] was able to turn out of the complex onto Towler Street. [VICTIM #1] stated there was a red pick up truck that belongs to Brown that should still be at the location.

I then conducted an area search of the property. Browns vehicle was located and secured. I located five 9mm shell casings on the ground in the roadway of the complex. I established a crime scene (see crime scene log). Crime Scene detective arrived at the location and processed the scene.

I then impounded Brown’s vehicle at the request of Det. Lewis. Talyor’s wrecker service arrived and loaded the vehicle. I then followed the wrecker to Monroe PD where it was put in the vehicle bay. Det. Shae was on scene and took over chain of custody. I then went back into service.

While canvasing the area, cameras were located at [300 BLOCK] Towler Street and [300 BLOCK] Towler Street. I attempted to make contact at the private residence at [300 BLOCK] Towler Street but got no answer at the door. The cameras at [300 BLOCK] Towler Street at owned by Camptowne Garden Apartments according to a resident.

Investigation turned over to CID.
