At the above date and time, I CPL Jones responded to Piedmont Walton in reference to an other law call. When I arrived on scene I made contact with hospital security who showed me footage of Makenna Baldasar getting out a can of pepper spray in her room, spraying it on the ground, and then spraying herself in the face with it.
Makenna then called hospital nurses into the room who were subsequently and unnecessarily exposed to the pepper spray. Makenna was placed in handcuffs behind her back, checked for proper fit, double locked, searched, and placed in the back of my patrol vehicle. She was then taken to the Walton County Jail where she was released into their custody on a DOC City ordinance citation.
