On Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 20:03 hours, I Officer Goodwin was dispatched to [REDACTED]. in reference to a report from [VICTIM #1] stating Tyler Muske had slapped her in the face.
While [VICTIM #1] was attempting to leave, Tyler began following her in his vehicle. [VICTIM #1] stated that she pulled over into Meadows Farm subdivision and Tyler had continued on E Church St. I spotted [VICTIM #1]’s vehicle at the back of Meadows Farm where her and her two daughters were standing by.
I made contact with [VICTIM #1] who stated that she and Tyler were preparing dinner. While preparing dinner they decided that they were going to eat out and Tyler wanted her to turn the grill off. [VICTIM #1] stated that as she was sitting on the couch Tyler attempted to take [VICTIM #1]’s phone at which point [VICTIM #1] put her phone in between the couch cushions so he couldn’t get it at which point Tyler started becoming angry. [VICTIM #1] stated that Tyler gets angry when he is hungry and tends to lose his temper more easily.
[VICTIM #1] stated that Tyler then slapped her on the left cheek with an open hand leaving a red mark on her face. [VICTIM #1] stated that he took her phone and tried to break it in half. Tyler and [VICTIM #1] have a daughter ([REDACTED BY AGENCY] ten years of age) who stated that she saw Tyler slap her in the face. [VICTIM #1] also has another daughter [REDACTED BY AGENCY] who stated that she did not see the event happen but was upstairs when she heard [REDACTED BY AGENCY] scream and knew something bad happened.
[VICTIM #1] stated that Tyler told [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to give him their phones as well. [VICTIM #1] then told [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to get in the car at which point the got into her vehicle. Tyler then came up to the vehicle and tried to get [VICTIM #1] to roll down her window. Out of fear that he might try to break it [VICTIM #1] refused. Tyler then took out a box cutter which [VICTIM #1] thought may have been to slit her tires but it was unknown a the time. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that the reason Tyler got the box cutter out was to have [REDACTED BY AGENCY] come with him in his car.
Myself and Officer Robertson escorted [VICTIM #1] and the girls back to the house due to Officers finding the Ford Fusion Tyler had been driving back at the original residence. Tyler had been unwilling to come to the door and therefore we needed someone who had access to the house to unlock the door for us. When we arrived on scene [VICTIM #1] began to unlock the door when Tyler came to the door and opened it. Sgt. Robertson asked if he had slapped [VICTIM #1] at any point during the afternoon. Tyler stated that there was simply an argument and nothing physical happened. Sgt. Robertson asked if he followed [VICTIM #1] down the road when she left and Tyler stated that he did because [VICTIM #1] had his child.
I advised Tyler that both of his daughters are claiming that he hit her. Tyler stated that he didn’t hit anybody, and if there was any contact it was when he was trying to get his keys from [VICTIM #1] after she took them from him. I asked if Tyler had at any point taken a box cutter out. Tyler advised the he hadn’t taken one out to harm anybody. I asked why he had take one out and he stated that it was because [VICTIM #1] was taking his daughter.
Tyler then stated that he was attempting to get [VICTIM #1] to roll down her window and when she refused he had the box cutter out to slash her tire but not to harm anybody. Tyler advised that his anger got the best of him and made a stupid mistake. Officer Robertson asked what started the argument to which Tyler responded they were arguing over dinner and specifically the grill and rice on the oven.
I then asked if I could search Tyler for any weapons on his person at which point I placed him under arrest for family violence charges. I handcuffed Tyler behind his back using two pairs of handcuffs due to Tyler not being able to reach both hands far enough behind his back, checked the cuffs for fit, double locked them, and escorted Tyler to the back of my patrol vehicle. I asked Tyler if he wanted his wallet and he advised he did and it was in the car. I retrieved his wallet from the Ford Fusion.
I transported Tyler to Walton County Jail where he was turned over to staff.
A Victim Notification form was completed at the jail.
Upon leaving the Jail I was called back in reference to Tyler having high blood pressure. I transported Tyler to Piedmont Walton where he was cleared and turned over to jail staff once again.
A Project Renewal Form was completed and attached to this report.
Warrants were taken for:
OCGA 16-5-23.1: FV Battery
OCGA 16-5-70(d): FV Cruelty to Children in the Third
