On 20JUN26 MPD responded to [900 BLOCK] East Church Street in reference to a Walton County deputy requesting immediate backup.
Upon arrival several officers had parties separated and were speaking to them. The victim, [VICTIM #1], a WCSO deputy stated that he had been jogging eastbound on Church St, when a dog began charging towards him. He stated he carries pepper spray and sprayed the dog, so as not to be bitten by the animal. He stated that upon seeing this, the homeowner drew a gun, pointed it at him and shouted, “you done fu*ked up now”! This is when he called 911.
Speaking to the suspect, Zack Music, he confirmed [VICTIM #1]’s chain of events, with the exception of pointing the weapon. He stated that he drew the gun and just had it in his hand when he confronted [VICTIM #1]. There were no other witnesses.
Based on the statements of [VICTIM #1], a duly sworn law enforcement officer of the state of Georgia, I placed Music under arrest for aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
A Glock 27 pistol was recovered on scene and placed into evidence per MPD policy.
