On 12/03/2025 Myself and Deputy Wright were dispatched to [100 BLOCK] Riverside Drive Lot [REDACTED] in reference to what was a physical domestic reported from a third party caller.

Upon arrival I met with [VICTIM #1], she stated that her boyfriend Darren Woods went through her phone and apparently found evidence to suggest that she was cheating on him. [VICTIM #1] then stated that Darren then started to attack her by trying to stick his finger in her left eye, punched her in the right upper calf area on her right leg causing minor swelling and possible bruising, grabbed her right arm causing redness to her wrist area as well as rubbed the skin off of a burn that she had suffered at work the day prior.

[VICTIM #1] then stated that Darren grabbed her by the neck which caused redness to the left side of her neck, and then covered her nose and mouth causing redness to the right side of her face. [VICTIM #1] then stated that while Darren was covering her nose and mouth she could not breathe and was starting to see spots.

[VICTIM #1] advised that Darren smacked her in the face multiple times with an open hand and punched her in the back however I was not able to see any marks suggesting those acts at the time.

[VICTIM #1] stated that while she was in the residence she heard her vehicle start up and leave. While on scene [VICTIM #1] was able to use her Apple smartwatch to track her cell phone which was in the car. We were able to locate the at [50 BLOCK] Shady Lane where we made contact with Darren and he was placed under arrest and transported to the Wayne County Jail.

I explained the TPO process to [VICTIM #1].

Darren was also charged with Simple Battery FVA but the charge is not listed due to NIBRS.
