On February 21, 2026 at approximately 21:31 hours, Deputy Taylor was dispatched to [100 BLOCK] Raindance Rd. in reference to a physical domestic dispute that had occurred. The caller stated that the offender subject was a male and that he was not wearing a shirt and that he was walking down the road.
Deputy Taylor arrived on scene shortly after this. Deputy Taylor then spotted that male later identified as (A.J. Seay) walking on Raindance Rd. A.J. was flailing his arms in the air as Deputy Taylor arrived on scene. Deputy Taylor observed scratches and bruising on A.J’s back. Deputy Taylor then observed that A.J. was heavily impaired due to his lethargic speech and due to him foaming out of the mouth.
Deputy Taylor then detained A.J. Deputy Taylor attempted to ask A.J. about the original altercation that occurred. A.J. did not provide Deputy Taylor with any information about the domestic dispute most likely due to A.J.’s inebriated condition and not being able to understand Deputy Taylor’s Questions.
Other Deputies then interviewed A.J’s wife named [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] advised that earlier that evening, she got a call from A.J’s brother named [REDACTED]. [VICTIM #1] advised that [REDACTED] told her that A.J. was at his residence and that she needed to pick him up due to him being heavily intoxicated and acting inappropriately. [VICTIM #1] then stated that A.J. began yelling, cussing, and screaming at her as they began to walk back to their residence located at [1400 BLOCK] Chadwick Dr. [VICTIM #1] then advised that A.J. grabbed her shirt collar and began attempting to choke her. [VICTIM #1] then advised that her and A.J. then heard Deputy Taylor’s siren’s and that she used that opportunity to run away from A.J. [VICTIM #1] then stated that she was not in fear of A.J. hitting her.
Other Deputies on scene the spoke with the caller named [WITNESS #1]. [WITNESS #1] advised that she lives [100 BLOCK] Raindance Rd. and that she did not know A.J. or [VICTIM #1] but that she could hear them arguing in the road in front of her residence. [WITNESS #1] then advised her husband named [WITNESS #2] approached A.J. and [VICTIM #1] to calm them down.
Other Deputies then spoke with [WITNESS #2]. [WITNESS #2] advised he approached A.J. to calm him down. [WITNESS #2] then advised that A.J struck him in the face resulting in him falling down. [WITNESS #2] then stated that after this took place, A.J. wanted to hug him and that they hugged. [WITNESS #2] then requested an ambulance for knee pain that he had as a result of the fall. Shortly after this, [WITNESS #2] was cleared by Emergency Medical services. [WITNESS #2] advised that he did not wish to press charges against A.J.
Deputy Taylor transported A.J. to the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office. While A.J. was being transported, he began violently banging his head against the window of the patrol vehicle. Deputy Taylor advised A.J. to stop doing this but A.J. continued to bang his head while in the patrol vehicle.
This entire investigation took place upon a public roadway in which multiple people walked outside as a result of A.J. screaming and acting erratically.
