Officer’s Narrative:

On 04/24/2026, Deputy Warren was traveling South on N Thornton Ave. As Deputy Warren approached W Tyler St, he observed a gray Honda Civic ([REDACTED]-NC) traveling South on N Thornton Ave from W Tyler St. As Deputy Warren traveled behind the Civic, he observed the Civic weave out of its lane multiple times.

As the Civic approached W Waugh St, it then began splitting both of the Southbound lanes before making a sudden turn Eastbound on W Waugh St. While conducting this turn, the Civic entered the Westbound lanes while continuing to travel East. The Civic then began to correct to the Eastbound lanes in a very slow and delayed manner. Deputy Warren the conducted a traffic stop on the Civic near the intersection with N Selvidge St.

Deputy Warren then made contact with the driver of the Civic, Alexandra Williams. Upon contact with Alexandra, Deputy Warren observed that Alexandra’s eyes were bloodshot and glossy. When asked if she had taken any medication or consumed alcohol, Alexandra stated that she had not had alcohol, but that she had recently taken Lexapro and Risperidone for her anxiety. Officers Hill and Locke of the Dalton Police Department then arrived on scene to assist.

Deputy Warren asked Alexandra if she would participate in standardized field sobriety testing. Alexandra stated that she would. Deputy Warren then had Alexandra exit her vehicle and began field sobriety testing.

Deputy Warren first explained and administered the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus test. Alexandra stated that she under stood the directives and requirements of the test prior to testing. While conducting the test, Deputy Warren observed that Alexandra was constantly swaying. This test yielded the following results:

Lack of Smooth Pursuit present in both eyes.
Distinct and Sustained Nystagmus at Maximum Deviation present in both eyes.

Deputy Warren then explained, demonstrated, and conducted the 9-Step Walk and Turn test. Alexandra stated that she understood the directives and requirements of the test prior to testing. This test yielded the following results:

Unable to maintain testing position during instruction phase.
Used arms for balance.
Unable to maintain heel-to-toe steps.
Improper turn.
Stepped off line.

Alexandra requested to take her shoes off and attempt the 9-Step Walk and Turn test again. This attempt yielded the following results:

Deputy Warren then explained, demonstrated, and conducted the One Leg Stand test. Alexandra stated that she understood the directives and requirements of the test prior to testing. This test yielded the following results:

Swaying.
Used arms for balance.
Put foot down.
Hopping.

Deputy Warren then placed Alexandra into handcuffs and informed her that she was under arrest for DUI. Alexandra was then mirandized. Alexandra stated that she had take Lexapro and Risperidone roughly and hour earlier in the night. Deputy Warren then escorted Alexandra to his patrol vehicle. Alexandra lost her balance while attempting to enter Deputy Warren’s patrol vehicle and fell to the ground. Alexandra stated that she was uninjured and was assisted into the patrol vehicle.

An inspection of Alexandra’s vehicle revealed several vodka bottles in plain view. Deputy Warren then searched Alexandra’s vehicle, locating numerous empty bottles and one half-empty bottle of 40% vodka within the center console. This item was disposed of on body camera. Deputy Goresh then arrived on scene to assist.

Deputy Warren then read to Alexandra the State of Georgia’s Implied Consent notice for drivers over the age of 21. Alexandra consented to a test of her blood. Deputy Warren then transported Alexandra to WCSO to retrieve a blood test kit. Deputy Goresh remained with the Civic until it was towed by S&M Towing.

Deputy Warren acquired a test kit and transported Alexandra to Hamilton Medical Center. There, samples of Alexandra’s blood were gathered and packaged by HMC Phlebotomist, [REDACTED]. Deputy Warren then took custody of the packaged samples and transported Alexandra back to WCSO. Alexandra was then turned over to the booking staff and cited accordingly:
