On this date, 06/11/2025 at 1625 hours, I responded to the Haigmill Lake Park at 652 Haigmill Lake Rd in reference to a [WITNESS #1], who is with an online organization that catches online predators, and is out with 53 year old male who believed that he was meeting a 13 year old girl.

Myself and Sgt Corso arrived on scene, we made contact with the 2 subjects who were sitting on the curb talking. We also spoke with the caller, [WITNESS #2]. She explained that [WITNESS #1] is from Indiana and flew into Atlanta, she picked up [WITNESS #1] so she would not be alone. They came to the park to meet the male, she advised that [WITNESS #1] would have all of the other information.

Sgt Corso contacted C.I.D. and was advised to wait for a detective to arrive.

While waiting on detectives to arrive, we informed the male, Christopher Bennett, that he was not free to leave. While standing there, [WITNESS #1] was still talking to Christopher. Christopher made the comment that his sure hope that she didn’t mess up his job. [WITNESS #1] said that she was not the one who downloaded child porn. Christopher shook his head in agreeance.

Once detective Murray arrived on scene, he spoke with both parties, [WITNESS #1] stated Christopher when through his phone while she was with him and he showed her several photos of naked juvenile females. Detective Murray also spoke with Christopher about photos of naked juvenile girls, and how many there where. Christopher said there where about 20 photos aging around 8 years old and up. Detective Murray asked if both parties would be willing to go to the police department to speak more. They both agreed.

Detective Murray asked for me to get consent to search Christopher’s vehicle. Christopher said that I could and asked to put the windows up and to lock it. I searched the vehicle and nothing was found I then placed Christopher in 2 linked sets of cuffs and double locked them, per detective Murray. I then patted him him down to make sure there were no weapons. I searched the back of my patrol car and placed him the the back of my patrol car, I could not secure him with the seat belt due to his size and position he had to sit in. I then transported him to the police department to be turned over to detectives.
