On May 21, 2026 at approximately 1202 hours, Deputy Weaver, Sgt. Brunson, and Deputy James were dispatched to [3200 BLOCK] Rauschenberg Rd in reference to a domestic dispute in progress.

Prior to deputy’s arrival, they were notified that the caller, [VICTIM #1] advised that she was punched in the face multiple times by an individual identified as Damien Wallace, and that he had an axe in his possession.

Upon arrival, Deputies located Ms. [VICTIM #1] at the end of the driveway beside her vehicle. She advised that her and Mr. Wallace were in an on again off again relationship, but that he was the father of their child. Deputy Weaver initially observed a large pump knot on the center of her head, as well as a black right eye, and a busted lip that was bleeding. Emergency Medical Services responded to check Ms. [VICTIM #1] out on scene.

Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised that she had recently broken up with Mr. Wallace and had arrived at the location to drop his stuff off. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that she was told by [WITNESS #1] that she could put the items in the ditch, and that Mr. Wallace would retrieve them later. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that after she arrived, Mr. Wallace came down the driveway and looked “pale as a ghost” as if it did not look like him. She advised that he demanded that she take him to his mother’s house, and when she refused, he jumped in the back hatch of the car that was open due to her unloading his items. She stated that once he was in the vehicle he was asking questions such as “what now?” and “where are we going?”.

Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that she instructed Mr. Wallace to get out of her vehicle and that is when he struck her with a closed fist in the face. He then told Ms. [VICTIM #1] to drive the vehicle and leave the scene, in which she refused again. She stated that she yelled for help, due to [WITNESS #1] being in the driveway at the time and that when she screamed, he began to strike her more. Then she advised that Mr. Wallace pushed her in between the two front seats and choked her with one hand around her neck, with his axe in the other. She advised that he never acted like he was going to hit her with the axe, but that he did have it in his hand. She stated that she felt as if she was going to pass out.

Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised that when she was being choked, Mr. Wallace advised her that he would kill her and asked the question of “did you not know that I will kill you”. Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised that when Mr. [WITNESS #1] came down the driveway, that that is when the altercation ended, and Mr. Wallace went back up to the residence.

Deputies made contact with Mr. Wallace who advised that Ms. [VICTIM #1] came to the residence “to start drama” and that he was only attempting to return to the residence. He stated that he walked down the driveway and began arguing verbally with Ms. [VICTIM #1]. Mr. Wallace also advised that Ms. [VICTIM #1] was supposed to take him to his son’s graduation, but that he was unaware she was coming to the residence at that time.

Mr. Wallace stated that during the verbal altercation, Ms. [VICTIM #1] called him vulgar names and struck him twice in the face. He advised that after being struck, he walked back up the driveway toward the residence.

Mr. [WITNESS #1], [WITNESS #2], and [WITNESS #3] were all on scene and advised that Ms. [VICTIM #1] “is crazy” and “hits herself.” Mr. [WITNESS #1] further stated that he did not witness any physical altercation between Mr. Wallace and Ms. [VICTIM #1], other than observing Ms. [VICTIM #1] “throwing herself around in the car.”

Deputy Weaver did observe redness to Mr. Wallace’s knuckles, as well as a small laceration that looked as if it had recently been opened again.

Due to the inconsistencies in Mr. Wallace’s statements, as well as the significant visible injuries sustained by Ms. [VICTIM #1], Mr. Wallace was placed under arrest. Mr. Wallace was handcuffed behind his back, and the handcuffs were checked for proper fit and double locked. Mr. Wallace was then transported to the Whitfield County Detention Facility without incident.

While Deputy Weaver was serving Mr. Wallace with Warrant No. W26-855 for violation of O.C.G.A. 16-5-21 Aggravated Assault, O.C.G.A. 16-11-37 Terroristic Threats and Acts, and O.C.G.A. 16-5-23.1 Battery (Family Violence), Mr. Wallace made several statements implying that he did not want to go to prison. Mr. Wallace then stated, “I know I f*cked up.” Officer Jackson was present and witnessed Mr. Wallace make these statements.

Photos of injuries were taken and submitted into Evidence.com. Mr. Wallace was then turned over to the jail staff, this case is considered Cleared by arrest, with no further action from the agency.
