[NARRATIVE #1 on December 06, 2025]
On December 6, 2025, at approximately 1301 hours, Deputy Weaver was dispatched by the Whitfield County Communications Center to contact [WITNESS #1], a nurse with Murray AdventHealth, in reference to a domestic dispute involving one of her patients.
Ms. [WITNESS #1] advised that a female patient had arrived at the hospital with severe bruising to her forehead, arms, legs, torso, head, and neck. Deputy Weaver then spoke with the patient, identified as [VICTIM #1]. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that between approximately 2300 and 0000 hours on December 5, 2025, her husband, Gary Brock, located content on her phone that “he was not happy with.” Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that she grabbed her phone and attempted to leave the residence, but Mr. Brock pulled her back by the hood of her hoodie, causing her to fall to the ground.
Ms. [VICTIM #1] further stated that after she fell, Mr. Brock began striking her in the face, head, and upper body. She also advised that he pulled her into a bedroom by the hood of her hoodie, forcibly relocating her within the home against her will. Ms. [VICTIM #1] reported that Mr. Brock slammed her phone down during the incident, causing it to malfunction. She stated that the couple has a history of domestic violence, but that “it has never been that bad.” Ms. [VICTIM #1] advised that she did not contact emergency services at the time because she was terrified of Mr. Brock retaliating against her.
Ms. [VICTIM #1] reported that she went to work at 0600 hours on December 6, 2025, finished at 1100 hours, and then immediately drove herself to the hospital. Deputy Weaver ensured that Ms. [VICTIM #1] had a safe place to stay, and she advised that she would be staying with her sister.
Deputy Weaver then conducted a follow-up at Curt’s Restaurant, Ms. [VICTIM #1]’s place of employment, and met with [WITNESS #2]. Ms. [WITNESS #2] advised that Ms. [VICTIM #1] appeared normal at work and that she did not notice any bruising, although Ms. [VICTIM #1] had been wearing a hoodie. Ms. [WITNESS #2] contacted one of Ms. [VICTIM #1]’s coworkers, [WITNESS #3], who stated that earlier that same morning she observed a knot on the left side of Ms. [VICTIM #1]’s forehead, as well as bruising on her left eyelid, hands, and neck.
Ms. [WITNESS #3] advised that Ms. [VICTIM #1] told her that Mr. Brock had kicked her in the ribs, resulting in her holding the left side of her ribcage while at work. Ms. [WITNESS #3] stated that Ms. [VICTIM #1] told her that she and Mr. Brock had “gotten into it” the night before. Ms. [WITNESS #3] further advised that Ms. [VICTIM #1] had previously mentioned Mr. Brock “putting his hands on her,” and often referred to him as a “psychopath.”
Ms. [WITNESS #2] stated that a couple of months ago, Ms. [VICTIM #1] stopped showing up to work and deleted her Facebook account, essentially going “off the grid.” She further advised that approximately three weeks ago, Ms. [VICTIM #1] contacted them and stated she had been hiding from Mr. Brock and was attempting to separate from him. Ms. [VICTIM #1] was reinstated at her job following that conversation.
Deputy Weaver attempted a follow-up with Ms. [VICTIM #1] at Murray AdventHealth; however, she had been released before contact could be made. Deputy Weaver attempted to locate further information regarding Ms. [VICTIM #1]’s whereabouts, including the location of her sister’s residence, but no additional information was obtained due to coworkers stating that Ms. [VICTIM #1] is a very private individual.
This case will remain active, pending further investigation.

[NARRATIVE #2 on December 07, 2025]
On December 7, 2025 Deputy Weaver obtained Warrant No. W25-2020 from Magistrate Judge Griffin on Gary Lynn Brock Jr for the offenses of O.C.G.A 16-5-21 Aggravated Assault Family Violence (FV), O.C.G.A 16-5-40 Kidnapping (FV), O.C.G.A 16-7-23 Criminal Damage to Property 2nd degree (FV), and O.C.G.A 16-5-23.1 (FV).
On December 7, 2025 at approximately 1319 hours, Deputy Weaver, Deputy Singleton, Sgt. Brunson, and Lt. Rann went to [600 BLOCK] Lafayette Rd, in an attempt to serve Gary Brock with Warrant No. W25-2020.
Upon arrival, Mr. Brock was spoken to through the window and exited the home. He was placed into handcuffs, they were checked for fit and double locked. Mr. Brock requested that deputies listen to a recording he possessed on his phone, so deputies entered the residence.
Mr. Brock was read his Miranda rights by Lt. Rann, due to him wanting to speak on behalf of the situation. Mr. Brock advised that there was no physical altercation between him and [VICTIM #1]. Mr. Brock allowed Deputy Weaver to read text messages that were sent between him and Ms. [VICTIM #1] since the incident date of December 5, 2025. The text messages read that Ms. [VICTIM #1] was accusing him of hurting her physically, and Mr. Brock denying that any altercation occurred.
Mr. Brock made statements that Ms. [VICTIM #1] requested she delete all camera footage in the home as well as the app on his phone. Cameras were later observed in Mr. Brock’s bedroom. Mr. Brock was asked about a hoodie that Ms. [VICTIM #1] claimed she was wearing, and was ripped during the altercation. Mr. Brock provided the hoodie, but he stated that he cut it up when she gave it to him on Friday, December 5, 2025, the date of the assault incident. He stated that he cut the hoodie into rags to do work around the house.
Mr. Brock also stated that Ms. [VICTIM #1] allowed him to do so. Deputy Weaver observed a clear-cut mark on the neckline of the hoodie, as well as a clear transition with frayed fabric, indicating that the fabric was ripped in that area. Photos of the hoodie will be submitted into Evidence.com. The hoodie was not seized due to its condition from being used as cleaning rags.
Mr. Brock advised deputies that him and Ms. [VICTIM #1] has a long history of arguing, but that he has never placed his hands on her. He did state that Ms. [VICTIM #1] used to hit herself. Mr. Brock stated that he had never reported Ms. [VICTIM #1] harming herself to law enforcement.
Also located in the house was Tracy McCollum, Mr. McCollum possessed a felony warrant for Probation Violation through Murray County, Ga and was transported to the county line by Deputy Singleton. Lt. Rann received consent to check the rear of the home for contraband, due to observing [REDACTED] quickly exit the living room and go to the rear of the residence when seeing deputies enter the home.
Mr. Brock then provided full consent to search the bathroom and bedroom. A glass smoking device was located in the toilet tank and was seized by Lt. Rann. Lt. Rann believed that the glass smoking device was placed there by [REDACTED] due to her entering the bathroom as soon as deputies arrived, see his supplemental for further information.
Mr. Brock made the complaint that he believed Tracy McCollum or [REDACTED] had drugged his food with methamphetamine at approximately 1100 hours on December 7, 2025. Mr. Brock stated that he believes they did this due to the last time he ingested methamphetamine, he became ill, and now he feels the same way. He stated that he has not ingested methamphetamine since 2019 and has not used any methamphetamine in 2.5 weeks when he relapsed.
Mr. Brock was placed in the rear of Deputy Weaver’s patrol vehicle and transported to Hamilton Medical Center. While on the way to the hospital, Mr. Brock made the comment that he and Ms. [VICTIM #1] were attempting to carry a table saw, and she dropped it, causing it to fall on her. Mr. Brock was unable to specify where the table made contact with Ms. [VICTIM #1]. He did mention a small cut on her hand that bled, as well as a bruise on her leg from the saw.
Mr. Brock was examined by medical professionals at Hamilton Medical Center and discharged into Deputy Weaver’s custody. Mr. Brock was served with Warrant No. W25-2020 and transported to the Whitfield County Detention Center. Mr. Brock was then turned over to the custody of the jail staff.
This case will be considered Cleared by Arrest, with no further action from the agency.
