On June 8, 2026, Deputy Cline was dispatched to 101 Cottonwood Mill Road to speak with [VICTIM #1] regarding a sexual battery complaint.
[VICTIM #1] stated that she is employed as a waitress at Pueblo Viejo. [VICTIM #1] advised that while she was in the kitchen correcting an order, Gerardo Gomez Gomez, a cook at the restaurant, grabbed her left breast. [VICTIM #1] stated that she told Gomez to stop and release her. [VICTIM #1] advised that Gomez released her and then grabbed her breast a second time.
Deputy Cline spoke with [WITNESS #1], who is also employed as a waitress at the restaurant. [WITNESS #1] stated that she was present in the kitchen at the time of the incident and witnessed the interaction between [VICTIM #1] and Gomez. Based on the investigation, Deputy Cline obtained and served Warrant #W26-943 charging Gomez with Sexual Battery under O.C.G.A. 16-6-22.1. Gomez was transported to the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office and turned over to jail staff without incident.
