[NARRATIVE #1 on May 18, 2026]

On May 18, 2026 about 8:47 p.m., Deputy E. Garcia and Deputy R. Ochoa of the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office, in the performance of their patrol duties responded to the residence of [200 BLOCK] Oak St to meet with the reporting party [VICTIM #1] for a call of service regarding to a domestic dispute. In this event Deputy E. Garcia was performing the responsibilities of the primary investigating official as Deputy R. Ochoa performed as the secondary official providing any required assistance.

Prior to arriving at the designated address, the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office Communication Center (Dispatch) advised that [VICTIM #1] stated his brother, later identified as Hunter Lake Walston, had grabbed him by the throat and made threats to kill him. Dispatch also advised that [VICTIM #1] stated Hunter had an active warrant. Dispatch further advised that [VICTIM #1] did not know Hunter’s exact location at that time but wished to meet at [200 BLOCK] Oak St. Dispatch also advised that Hunter had an active warrant for Probation Violation.

Upon arrival at [200 BLOCK] Oak St, Deputy E. Garcia observed that [VICTIM #1]’ lower lip was bleeding. Deputy E. Garcia also observed blood throughout [VICTIM #1]’ mouth. Deputy E. Garcia observed that [VICTIM #1] had a scratch on the left side of his neck. Deputy E. Garcia also observed redness on [VICTIM #1]’ neck just above his chest area. Deputy E. Garcia further observed that [VICTIM #1] had two scratches on the left side of his back.

Deputy E. Garcia then spoke with [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] stated that Hunter had texted him that morning asking for help fixing Hunter’s Harley. [VICTIM #1] stated that when he arrived, Hunter had already left, so he began looking for him but was unable to locate him. [VICTIM #1] stated that he then went to the residence where he had been staying, located at [1700 BLOCK] Westside Cir, in order to retrieve his belongings. [VICTIM #1] stated that he rang the Ring doorbell when Hunter answered the door and said, “Let me tell you something, motherf*cker.”

[VICTIM #1] stated that Hunter then punched him with a closed fist, striking him in the lower lip. [VICTIM #1] stated that he struck Hunter back, after Hunter slammed him to the floor, grabbed him by the throat, and held a pocketknife-style knife to his throat. [VICTIM #1] stated that Hunter also told him that he would kill him while holding the knife to [VICTIM #1]’ throat if he told anyone what had happened. [VICTIM #1] stated that he then pushed Hunter off of him with his arms and entered the residence while telling Hunter that he only wanted to retrieve his belongings.

[VICTIM #1] stated that his ex-girlfriend, later identified as [WITNESS #1], approached him and advised him that his belongings were where he had left them. [VICTIM #1] stated that Hunter continued walking behind him as he exited the residence. [VICTIM #1] stated that Hunter told him to leave the house or he would kill him. [VICTIM #1] stated that he had no idea why Hunter attacked him in that manner. [VICTIM #1] stated that he believed Hunter was upset because he had an active warrant. [VICTIM #1] refused medical evaluation by Hamilton Medical Center EMS.

Deputy E. Garcia then spoke with a friend of [VICTIM #1], later identified as [WITNESS #2]. [WITNESS #2] stated that he believed Hunter attacked [VICTIM #1] because Hunter was upset about his active warrant. [WITNESS #2] stated that he could lead deputies to the residence where the incident occurred.

[WITNESS #2] and deputies then drove to the residence located at [1700 BLOCK] Westside Cir. Upon arrival, [WITNESS #2] stated that he believed he had seen Hunter run into the woods behind the residence. Deputies attempted to make contact but did not observe any movement or signs to follow. Deputy E. Garcia then rang the Ring doorbell at the front door in an attempt to make contact with [WITNESS #1]. After several attempts with negative contact, Deputy E. Garcia notified Dispatch and requested that they attempt to contact [WITNESS #1] via telephone. [WITNESS #1] answered the call and exited the residence to speak with deputies.

[WITNESS #1] stated that she had been in the bathroom and therefore had not seen Deputy E. Garcia ringing the Ring doorbell. [WITNESS #1] stated that she had not seen Hunter all day. [WITNESS #1] stated that she did not know where Hunter was and advised that she had been lying in bed throughout the day. [WITNESS #1] stated that [VICTIM #1] had been entering and exiting the residence throughout the day, but she had not seen him that day other than when he entered the bathroom while she was inside.

[WITNESS #1] stated that she observed [VICTIM #1] appearing frustrated, but she closed the bathroom door as soon as she saw him attempting to enter. [WITNESS #1] stated that she had been in her bedroom and had neither seen nor heard anything regarding the incident between [VICTIM #1] and Hunter.

Deputy E. Garcia then asked [WITNESS #1] if she consented to deputies checking the residence to determine whether Hunter was still inside. [WITNESS #1] stated that she consented to deputies entering and searching the residence. Deputies then cleared the residence with negative contact. [WITNESS #1] stated that she did not hear anything due to the music and television being on at the time of the incident. [WITNESS #1] stated that she sometimes left the back door unlocked because her children frequently entered and exited the residence. [WITNESS #1] stated that she would call 911 as soon as she saw Hunter again.

Deputy E. Garcia then drove back to [200 BLOCK] Oak St for a second time to speak with [VICTIM #1]. Upon arrival, [VICTIM #1] showed Deputy E. Garcia a message from Hunter. Deputy E. Garcia observed that the message consisted of Hunter apologizing and stating that he was angry because [VICTIM #1] had “turned on him.” Deputy E. Garcia also observed that part of the message stated that Hunter had never used a knife on [VICTIM #1]. Deputy E. Garcia observed that the message ended with Hunter stating, “I pushed and shoved you and that’s all.”

[WITNESS #2] then showed Deputy E. Garcia messages received from Hunter when he and deputies arrived at the residence located at [1700 BLOCK] Westside Cir. Deputy E. Garcia observed a message from Hunter stating, “I seen y’all. I was at the end of the road and jumped in the ditch dumb*ss.” Deputy E. Garcia also observed that Hunter sent another message stating, “I want to be back at her house.”

Deputy E. Garcia then spoke with [VICTIM #1] and Hunter’s aunt, later identified as [WITNESS #3]. [WITNESS #3] stated that she would know where Hunter might be once she arrived home because she had Hunter’s cellphone location shared with her. [WITNESS #3] stated that she would call 911 as soon as she arrived home.

At approximately 11:02 p.m., Deputy E. Garcia spoke with [WITNESS #3] via cellphone, and she stated that Hunter’s cellphone location was showing at Miracle Field West Side, located at 1519 Mount Vernon Rd. Deputy E. Garcia and Deputy R. Ochoa then drove to the park in an attempt to make contact with Hunter. Deputies had negative contact after checking the area of Miracle Field.

Deputy E. Garcia will upload the photographs taken of [VICTIM #1]’ injuries, along with photographs of the messages sent by Hunter, to Evidence.com as evidence.

In conclusion of the investigated incident Deputy E. Garcia reasonably believes the state’s violation of battery, aggravated assault with a gun, aggravated assault, threats and obstruction was committed by Hunter Lake Walston. Deputy E. Garcia will apply for a warrant on his body for one count of one count of O.C.G.A 16-5-21 Aggravated Assault with a weapon and one count of O.C.G.A 16-11-37 Threats.

[NARRATIVE #2 on June 19, 2026]

On 19 June 2026 Aprox 1030 Deputy Figg along with Deputy Kirby responded to the Rhea County Jail to pick up a Hunter Walston on a warrant out of Whitfield County.

At the Rhea County Jail Deputy Figg took custody of Hunter placing him in belly chains and leg restraints. Hunter was placed in the back of Deputy Figg’s Patrol vehicle and seat belted in. Hunter was transported to the Whitfield County Jail without incident.

At the jail Deputy Figg served Hunter with Probation Violation Warrant number 26-00154, original charge of Cruelty to children 21-CR-01070-W.

Hunter was turned over to Booking Personnel.
