[NARRATIVE #1 on March 10, 2026]
On March 10, 2026, at approximately 0819 hours, Deputies N. Woods, M. Singleton, T. Deaver, J. Williams, and Sgt. C. Brunson responded to [2600 BLOCK] East Lake Park Drive, located within Whitfield County, in reference to a domestic dispute in progress involving a firearm.
Upon arrival, Deputy Woods observed Juvenile 1 seated in a car seat in the kitchen area and could audibly hear the juvenile crying. Deputy Woods then made contact with a witness, later identified as [WITNESS #1]. Deputy Woods asked Ms. [WITNESS #1] where the alleged offender, Jacob Eaton, was located. Ms. [WITNESS #1] stated that Mr. Eaton was upstairs.
Deputy Woods then observed Mr. Eaton walking down the stairs and approaching the deputies. Mr. Eaton granted consent for deputies to search his person, during which, no evidence was located. Deputy Woods then escorted Mr. Eaton outside of the residence to remain with the other deputies while Deputy Woods re-entered the residence to speak with the involved parties.
Once back inside the residence, Deputy Woods made contact with the victim, [VICTIM #1]. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that while she was sitting in her recliner, Mr. Eaton came downstairs holding a firearm. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated Mr. Eaton then pointed the firearm at her face and told her he was going to kill her. Deputy Woods asked Ms. [VICTIM #1] to describe the firearm, and Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated it appeared to be an “AK-style” rifle.
Deputy Woods then spoke further with Ms. [WITNESS #1]. Ms. [WITNESS #1] stated that Mr. Eaton became agitated, went downstairs, and pointed the firearm at Ms. [VICTIM #1] while she was sitting in the recliner. Ms. [WITNESS #1] further stated that Mr. Eaton said he “wanted to hurt her,” referring to Ms. [VICTIM #1].
Deputy Woods then exited the residence and advised Mr. Eaton of his Miranda Warnings. Mr. Eaton stated he understood his rights and agreed to speak without an attorney present.
Mr. Eaton stated that as he was walking down the stairs, he had the firearm pointed upward toward the ceiling. Mr. Eaton stated that as he approached the final step, he moved the firearm downward toward the floor. Mr. Eaton admitted that he made threats toward Ms. [VICTIM #1] but denied pointing the firearm directly at her.
Deputy Woods then instructed Mr. Eaton to place his hands behind his back. Deputy Woods placed Mr. Eaton in handcuffs, double locked the handcuffs, and checked them for proper fit. Deputy Woods then escorted Mr. Eaton to the rear seat of his marked patrol unit.
Deputy Woods took photographs of the firearm, which will be uploaded to www.Evidence.com.
Deputy Woods then transported Mr. Eaton to the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office, where he was turned over to the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office Booking Staff without incident.
Deputy Woods will seek arrest warrants for the following charges:
- O.C.G.A. 16-5-21 – Aggravated Assault (Family Violence)
