On May 1, 2026 at approximately 1319 hours, Deputy Roberts was dispatched to [REDACTED] in reference to reports of child molestation that had occurred. When Deputy Roberts and Deputy Cline arrived, they met with Juvenile 1 and her father, [WITNESS #1].
[WITNESS #1] stated that on this date, he invited his friend Kevin Williams over to gather firewood that he had cut down. He stated that he was informed that Kevin had touched Juvenile 1 inappropriately. He stated that at that time, he told Kevin to leave and not to come back.
Juvenile 1 stated that they were all outside in the garage, when Kevin asked her to take him inside to show him where the bathroom was. She stated that she thought this was odd, due to the fact that they had already given him a house tour. Juvenile 1 stated that she showed him where the bathroom was, and stood in front of a mirror around the corner, to look at herself in the mirror.
She stated that Kevin exited the bathroom, and acted like he was trying to walk past her. She stated that instead of walking past her, he stopped behind her. She stated that at that time, he began telling her how beautiful she was, and begin touching her around her hip area.
Juvenile 1 stated that she felt uncomfortable and wanted to get out of the situation, so she offered to make Kevin a glass of tea. She stated that Kevin followed her to the kitchen, and would not give her space. She stated that while she had the refrigerator opened, he told her “take your time, take your time” and was “touching all up on her”. She stated that she went to grab a glass out of the cabinet, and had to stand on her toes. She stated that when she did this, he started to grab her on her buttocks.
Juvenile 1 stated that after she poured his tea, he put her at an angle on the counter and began groping her. She stated that at this time, she used the glass of tea as a way to put distance between them, by handing it to him. She stated that she went back outside to the garage, and stayed beside [WITNESS #1]. She stated that Kevin kept trying to get her to come back into the house.
Juvenile 1 stated that she went back inside the residence, grabbed her phone, and ran upstairs to her room. She stated that while in her room, she called her mom, [REDACTED]. After she hung up with [REDACTED], [WITNESS #1] called her. She stated that [WITNESS #1] asked her what was wrong, but she did not say anything due to being able to hear Kevin yelling in the background to come back downstairs and that he “didn’t do anything”. She stated that she stayed in her room, sitting in front of the door to block it, and called 911.
[WITNESS #1] stated that he asked Kevin if he touched Juvenile 1. He stated that Kevin advised him that he just “patted her on the shoulder” to say thank you for the tea, and nothing else. [WITNESS #1] stated that he advised Kevin to leave the property, and not come back. [WITNESS #1] stated that at this time, Kevin advised him that he was going to go home to hang himself because he did not want to be “falsely accused” of anything.
Deputy Roberts advised the Whitfield County Communication Center to have the on-call Detective with the Criminal Investigative Division, speak with her via telephone. Detective Lance arrived, and the scene was turned over to him.
