On 09/13/2025 at approximately 1614, I Officer Warnack alongside Officer Lee were dispatched in reference to a battery around 243 N Hamilton St. The suspect who later on was identified as Harrell, Nathan was leaving the scene on foot wearing a white T-Shirt, green shorts with a mohawk hairstyle, so we went around the area to look for him.
Officer Reyes and Officer Cook also responded to the area looking for Harrell. Officer Lee and I found Harrell at S Hamilton and W Morris Street. Harrell was calm to both of us, but his mental state did not seem well. Officer Lee and I were trying to communicate with Harrell when the owners of Hamilton’s Pizzeria came up to us. I asked them to step back to the car, so I could speak with them.
Officer Lee proceeded to talk to Harrell due to him being calm, and I proceeded to talk to the owners of the restaurant. [WITNESS #1] who was the daughter of [WITNESS #2], who is the owner of the Pizzeria informed me they have video footage of Harrell hitting a customer with a closed fist later identified as [VICTIM #1]. In the footage [VICTIM #1] is eating pizza with wife [WITNESS #3] and his 8-year-old daughter, [REDACTED BY AGENCY].
You can see Harrell walking down the sidewalk towards the Pizzeria. As Harrell gets close to [VICTIM #1] he strikes him with a closed fist to the face, breaking his sunglasses. [VICTIM #1] panicked and stood up towards Harrell defending himself. He was mad but proceeded to try to back away from Harrell. [VICTIM #1] made some statements in another language that I do not know. Harrell proceeded to get mad and start screaming at [VICTIM #1] and also cussing. He proceeded to push towards [VICTIM #1], who at the time picked up a chair but eventually put it down. Harrell pushed the chair upwards towards [VICTIM #1] and eventually left the scene.
I, Officer Warnack, after seeing this footage, conferred with Officer Lee and later placed Harrell under arrest. Officer Cook and I asked Harrell to place his hands behind his back, and he complied with commands. We proceeded to search him in front of the patrol vehicle and found no weapons on Harrell.
After the arrest Officer Cook proceeded to interview [VICTIM #1] and got pictures of the [VICTIM #1]’s marks. [VICTIM #1] had a cut on his right eyebrow, a cut on the right side of his nose, and a cut inside his lip. Before the events with [VICTIM #1] occurred there were also two more victims in the incident that happened prior to [VICTIM #1] who were also assaulted. To see the events that occurred prior to [VICTIM #1]; please refer to Officer Lee’s supplemental to this report.
Harrell did commit the offense of Battery when he punched [VICTIM #1] unprovoked with a closed fist, leaving physical markings.
Harrell committed Criminal Trespass when he broke [VICTIM #1]’s sunglasses.
Harrell committed Disorderly Conduct when, acting in a violent and tumultuous manner, he yelled “use it, use it, use the mother fu*ker… Goddamn piece of sh*t!” These actions were in the presence of a minor [REDACTED] who appeared to be frightened, backing away and hiding behind a vehicle.
Harrell committed two counts of Simple Assault on the other two victims in Officer Lee’s supplemental report ([VICTIM #2] and [VICTIM #3]).
We proceeded to seat belt Harrell into the car and take him to the jail. On the way to the jail we asked if he had any medical conditions, and he stated to me outside the car, he has mental health issues. We asked if he was a US citizen and he said yes. We proceeded to lock our guns in the lockbox at the jail and search the back of the car before bringing Harrell into intake. We got the arrest warrant filled out, and went back into service from there.
[End of Narrative]
