On June 14, 2026, at 1538 I was driving west down Cedar St when I spotted a man urinating on the wall of a business, 1128 S Thornton Ave.

When the man noticed my patrol car he hid around the corner of the building.

I confronted the suspect, Stanley Blankenship, who admitted to urinating on the wall of the business. I got Stanley’s information and ran it through GCIC. Officer Mullinax got consent to search Stanley and he found a pack of reds 24/7 cigarettes in his front right pants pocket. In the pack of cigarettes was a baggy of suspected methamphetamine inside the plastic around the pack.

I Handcuffed Stanley and searched the rest of him. I placed all of his property into a paper bag.

We secured Stanley’s bicycle and it was taken to the police department.

I secured Stanley in the back seat of my patrol car and seatbelted him in. I confirmed that Stanley was a U.S. citizen and confirmed that he did not have any medical issues. I transported Stanley to the Whitfield County Jail and secured my gun in the locker in the sally port. The back seat of my patrol car was searched prior to and after transport.

I handed Stanley over to the jail staff.

I took the evidence back to the Dalton Police Department and the suspected methamphetamine (2.3gg) field tested positive for methamphetamine.

When the pack of cigarettes was checked thoroughly we found another baggy of suspected methamphetamine (2.7gg). This baggy also field tested positive for methamphetamine.

I presented this case to a magistrate judge. The judge issued warrant number W26-981 for the following charges:

Possession of methamphetamine 16-13-30(A)(2)
Public indecency 16-6-8

I turned all my evidence over to property and evidence

I secured Stanley’s bicycle in the impound lot for bikes at the Dalton Police Department.
