Richmond Hill man arrested for taking 13-year-old girl to Macon Airbnb, raping her

BIBB COUNTY, Ga. – Authorities arrested a 19-year-old Richmond Hill man on August 29, 2024, for allegedly picking up a 13-year-old female from Jones County, taking her to an Airbnb in Macon, and raping her. Kevin Josue Uruena-Brito faces charges of child molestation and aggravated child molestation.

The reports indicated that Uruena-Brito and the victim had sex multiple times, including oral sex. The victim’s clothing and cell phone were collected, and she was transported to Atrium Children’s Hospital, where medical staff performed a sexual assault kit.

A Jones County sergeant reported working an accident involving the suspect near the victim’s home and providing him with a ride; however, at the time, the officer was unaware of the sex offense allegations.

This case is pending.

On 08/27/24 at approximately 0700 Hrs I received a call from Macon-Bibb dispatch. Dispatch advised that Sgt. T. Walker from Jones County Sheriff’s Office was requesting that I give him a call in reference to a 13-year-old juvenile from Jones County that was raped. I made contact with Sgt Walker via telephone.

Sgt Walker advised me that he was working a case in which 13-year-old [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was raped by a 19-year-old male. He stated that he initially thought the crime occurred in Jones County, but was just informed that the victim was picked up in Jones County and taken to an Airbnb in Macon by the suspect, Kevin Uruena.

Sgt Walker also stated that he’d worked a wreck involving the suspect right down the street from the victim’s house around 0200 Hrs. He stated that at the time of the wreck, he was unaware of the sex offense involving the juvenile, and that he gave the suspect a ride to an address of [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. He stated that he received the call about the rape about 0500 Hrs. and once he received the information from the family, he realized that the individual from the wreck was the suspect. He stated that he was told that the suspect picked the victim up from her home in Jones County and took her to an Airbnb here in Macon. He stated that victim and the suspect had sex multiple times at the Airbnb, which included oral sex.

Sgt Walker stated that he’d already collected the victims clothing and her cellphone. I met with Sgt Walker and he turned those items over to me.

The victim was taken to Atrium Children’s Hospital and a Sexual Assault Kit completed.
