[NARRATIVE #1 on September 15, 2026]

On 09/15/2026 at approximately 0309 hours, during a routine registration and insurance check on a Black in color Hyundai Elantra (tag# [REDACTED]), I observed the vehicle not having valid insurance.

While traveling south on South Wayne Street, I proceeded to initiate my emergency lights and the vehicle immediately stopped in the middle Of the road. I advised the driver via radio to move into the parking lot of Quality Pawn & Sales, located at 905 South Wayne Street.

When I approached the vehicle, I observed two occupants. I advised the driver the reason for the stop was due to not having valid insurance on the car. The driver, Amerria Glenn, advised the vehicle was not her car, and it was one of her friends. When Glenn was asked to provide her driver’s license, she advised she did not have a valid driver’s license. After relaying the name and date of birth of Glenn to dispatch, the passenger asked how much Glenn’s bond would be. The passenger then asked if he could exit the vehicle to use the restroom, which I denied and told him to Stay in the vehicle. After the passenger made this response, I requested backup via radio.

Seargent Webb then advised via radio Glenn had a warrant for Aggravated Assault with Baldwin County Sherrif’s Office. After receiving this information, the passenger then asked to leave the vehicle again. I advised the passenger to remain in the vehicle.

I then asked Glenn to exit the vehicle and placed her in double locking handcuffs per departmental policy. While Glenn was exiting the vehicle the passenger proceeded to open the door and flee the scene, heading towards South Wilkinson Street. The passenger was wearing a black long sleeve jacket with long black sweatpants. I then secured Glenn in the back of my patrol vehicle with the seat belt and advised dispatch to get a wrecker by rotation for the vehicle. I did not get the information of the passenger during the stop, though Glenn advised his nickname was “Walk”.

Officer Roberts, Sgt. Webb, and Officer Fredrick arrived shortly after to search for the passenger. Officer Roberts advised around the North corner of Quality Pawn, there was a iPhone on the ground. I then secured the abandoned property in the back of my patrol vehicle.

I conducted an inventory search of the vehicle prior to being removed by County Line Towing. I found a knife under the driver’s side seat, a small amount of change in the near the cupholders, miscellaneous receipts in the glove box, an emptyblack purse on the passenger side, and a brown bag in the back seat with trash and other miscellaneous receipts.

Amerria Glenn was transported to the Baldwin County Law Enforcement Center located at 119 Old Monticello Rd and charged with Driving without a Valid Driver’s License, driving without Valid Insurance, and a warrant out of Baldwin County Sherrif’s Office for Agravated Assault. After Glenn was given to the jail, also logged a rear seat contraband check. The abandoned iPhone found was logged into evidence and given to the CID.

[NARRATIVE #2 on September 15, 2026]

On 09/15/2026 at approximately 2300 hours, Sergeant Jalen Webb and I went to the Baldwin county Sheriff’s Office, located at 119 Old Monticello Road, in reference to interviewing the passenger of the vehicle, Xavious Spencer.

Sgt. Webb advised the passenger from the traffic stop who fled turned himself in. We decided to go and interview Spencer in reference to the incident. When Spencer walked into the interview room, he refused to speak prior to his Miranda Wamings being read, therefore I asked Spencer no questions about the incident. While Spencer was standing in the hallway after exiting the interview room he said, “you know that it’s me that ran”, then returned to his cell.
