On March 6, 2023, at approximately 2144 hours, I was dispatched to Economy Inn, 1616 North Columbia Street, in reference to damage to property.

While en route to said location, Milledgeville PD Dispatch advised someone was breaking the windows to room [REDACTED].

Upon my arrival, I noticed broken glass and the front door ajar. I broadcasted to dispatch and waiting for Sergeant Ben Thomas to arrive. Once Sergeant Thomas arrived, he and I conducted a protective sweep of the room. While clearing the room, I noticed all the furniture was thrown around the room. A male later identified as David Flemming Golden approached Sergeant Thomas and I. Golden stated he was staying in room #[REDACTED] and he done the damages to the window and room. Golden was detained and placed into handcuffs.

Golden was read his Miranda Rights in which he wished to speak with me. Golden stated he was attempting to use the phone and others in the room around his was tampering with the phone line. When asked, Golden stated he used a knife sharpener and broke the window. Due to management wishing to pursue charges, Golden was transported to the Baldwin County LEC without further incident. In addition to that, management wish to have Golden trespassed from the location due to the room not being issued in his name.

Golden was charged with criminal trespass, damage to property. Photos of the scene was taken.
