I responded to [300 BLOCK] Allen Memorial Drive Lot [REDACTED] in reference to a physical domestic dispute in progress.

Upon arrival, I observed Dennis Smith aggressively advancing towards his wife, [VICTIM #1]. I stood in between the two and Dennis continued trying to advance towards [VICTIM #1]. Due to Dennis behavior, he was assisted to the ground and detained in handcuffs.

[VICTIM #1] stated that when Dennis returned home, she noticed he was extremely intoxicated and he became belligerent. [VICTIM #1] stated Dennis called her a “h*e” and began punching her in the right side of her face and neck. [VICTIM #1] stated Dennis grabbed her by the shirt and pushed her against a small refrigerator, causing it to fall over. [VICTIM #1] stated they began arguing about money and Dennis continued being aggressive.

I observed visible red marking on [VICTIM #1]’s neck. I also observed the small refrigerator knocked over in the bedroom. Due to physical and testimonial evidence, Dennis was arrested for battery family violence disorderly conduct and obstruction of a law enforcement officer (misdemeanor).

I transported Dennis to the jail, where he was turned over to jail staff with a complete arrest/booking sheet. I will secure a warrant on Dennis for battery family violence, obstruction of a law enforcement officer (misdemeanor), and disorderly conduct.
