On 09/10/2026, I responded to [100 BLOCK] N Chandler Circle in reference to a fight.

While en route to the residence, dispatch was advised by Dwayne Bolston that he was currently in a verbal altercation with his brother and wanted himself to be taken to jail. Upon my arrival to the residence, I made contact with Dwayne in the driveway. While approaching Dwayne, he got on his knees and requested to be taken into custody. When asked what had occurred prior to law enforcement’s arrival, he explained he has the right to remain silent and to talk to the other party who can explain what happened. I then had Dwayne sit on my patrol vehicles bumper while I made contact with the other party. I began speaking with [VICTIM #1] who stated earlier in the night she had come over to Dwayne’s house to visit.

While talking with Dwayne in the driveway, he asked [VICTIM #1] to step out of her car so he could give her a hug. Instead of hugging [VICTIM #1], Dwayne began attacking her by shoving, slapping and eventually pushing her to the ground behind her car. While on the ground, Dwayne put his hands in an offensive manner around [VICTIM #1]’s throat which resulted in her being strangled. [VICTIM #1] further explained, Dwayne finally stopped choking her and let her off the ground. [VICTIM #1] tried making it back in her car to leave the residence, but Dwayne continued shoving and telling her to get in his house. [VICTIM #1] eventually went in the house while continuing to be pushed by Dwayne. While arguing in the house, [VICTIM #1] reported to have been slapped multiple times again by Dwayne when she tried to leave his residence. Once Dwayne’s brother and nephew intervened with the altercation, Dwayne then got into a verbal altercation with his brother. At this point, both Dwayne and [VICTIM #1] contacted 911 as she separated herself from Dwayne by locking herself in her car until law enforcement’s arrival.

During the encounter, I was able to observe and photograph multiple injuries on [VICTIM #1] including, a cut above her right eyebrow, swollen and red cheek bones, red marks around her neck, and a scratched right knee. A scratch was also observed on Dwayne’s right knee which is believed to be sustained from the gravel driveway when attacking [VICTIM #1]. When asking Dwayne for his testimony on the incident, he declined to speak unless his lawyer was present. Dwayne was taken into custody for Aggravated Assault and placed in double locked handcuffs behind the back and checked for fit. Dwayne was then placed in the rear seat of my patrol vehicle.

Upon EMS arriving on scene, [VICTIM #1] was checked for her injuries and was transported by EMS personnel. [VICTIM #1]’s sister arrived on scene and was given permission by [VICTIM #1] to drive her car back to her house. Dwayne was transported to the jail and turned over to jail staff with a complete booking and warrantless arrest sheet. One warrant for Aggravated Assault has been sworn out for Dwayne. All pictures obtained of [VICTIM #1]’s injuries have been uploaded to Evidence.com
