[NARRATIVE #1 on April 30, 2025]
On 04/22/2025, Britney McKinley (and her wife, [WITNESS #1]) came to the Winder Police Department to report fraud committed against her, by her mother, [WITNESS #2]. Britney stated she was directed by the Gwinnett County Police Department to file her complaint in Winder because she lives in the City.
Britney brought with her copies of three Petitions for Temporary Guardianship of Minors (one for each of her three children; [REDACTED BY AGENCY], [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and [REDACTED BY AGENCY]). Brittany’s children’s father, [REDACTED], lives in Newton County (he was not present). Brittany claimed the Petitions, signed by a Gwinnett County Probate Judge, and registered with the Gwinnett County Clerk’s Office, were fraudulent; the documents were not signed by her, and she was not present when the Notary stamped the documents.
Britney and [WITNESS #1] explained, the documents were presented to the Court by [WITNESS #2], and the Judge told both parties “they were sloppy”. According to Britney and [WITNESS #1], the Judge recessed the session until both parties could solve the differences. Britney stated the fraud was not addressed by the Judge.
Copies of the Petitions were copied and will be uploaded to this report. Additional investigation will be required.
