On July 11, 2026, at approximately 0145 hours I responded code 1 to [1200 BLOCK] Clearwater Dr in reference to a Mental Problem. Before arriving on scene, dispatch advised me that the daughter was screaming and yelling at her mother and heavily intoxicated.
Upon arrival I made contact with the mother, [WITNESS #1], who stated that her daughter, Brittney Morgan, was house sitting for their pastor while they are on vacation. [WITNESS #1] stated that she received a call from the pastors’ wife telling her she did not want Brittney to stay at the home and asked her to go get her.
While speaking to [WITNESS #1], I could hear screaming coming from inside the home, when I stepped into the doorway, I observed Brittney standing at the top of the stairs wearing only a yellow shirt. Brittney was visibly crying and screaming at her mother. I entered the house and attempted to speak to Brittany. I asked Brittney to put some pants on so we could talk about what was going on.
Brittney stated that she was asleep and she did nothing wrong, she said that her best friend was calling her multiple times and she woke up to her mother at the front door. Brittney continued raising her voice and getting agitated. She kept mentioning that she had been [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and that we did not understand. Brittney called the daughter of the homeowner, and the daughter told her that she needed to leave. Brittney then got up to get her stuff and upon walking into the living room she began screaming at her mother, who was standing at the top of the stairs. Brittney was told to get her things. She grabbed a bag from the kitchen area and walked outside where she sat down on the front porch and continued to cry about the situation. Brittney was slurring her words and making contradicting statements, “I’m not drunk. I’m not sober”.
Brittney was given an opportunity to find another ride, or ride with [WITNESS #1], or have EMS check her out. Brittney stated she would just walk away, to which she was told that was not an option because she was intoxicated. The entire time, Brittney was on the phone with the homeowner’s daughter who told her to just go with her mom. Brittney then walked to the car still yelling and sat in the passenger seat. While sitting in the car, she continued to yell and scream at her phone while actively crying. Brittney declined any medical attention from the medical personell on scene.
I then spoke to [WITNESS #1], who stated that she had received a phone call from the pastor’s wife that she needed to go get Brittney from her hours because she was extremely intoxicated. [WITNESS #1] stated she drove to the house and entered where Brittney was sitting on the stairs wearing only a tank top and no bottoms. [WITNESS #1] stated she told Brittney to go get some clothes on and get her things that they were leaving. [WITNESS #1] also stated that she asked Brittney why she was drinking and said she thought she wasn’t drinking anymore. [WITNESS #1] stated she found 2 empty Crown Royal bottles in Britney’s bag and a half-consumed bottle that was shoved between the couch cushions without a top. She stated that this is when Brittney started screaming and yelling at her and she was afraid that she would become physical.
Brittney was asked to step out of the vehicle and turn around placing her hands behind her back. I placed a set of handcuffs on her, checked them for fit, and double locked them. I then searched her, Search Incident to Arrest and placed her in the backseat of the patrol car. Brittney was charged with Citation #MCE029408 County Ordinance 58-3 Disorderly Conduct Brittney was transported to the Barrow County Detention Center and turned over to jail staff without incident. The backseat of the patrol car was checked before and after transport.
