[NARRATIVE #1 on July 04, 2026]
On 07/04/2026 at approximately 2041 hours, Sgt Bazinet and I responded code 3 (emergency) to a domestic dispute at [100 BLOCK] Carnaby St. Dispatch informed responding units that the suspect was intoxicated, possibly had weapons, and kicked the door into the residence before walking towards the West Winder Bypass.
Before we arrived to the address, Deputy Arango had met with the suspect, Darius Robinson, while he was walking on Hwy 211 NW near Stillwood Dr. Deputy Arango immediately detained Darius. Darius’s brother, [VICTIM #1], was also out with Deputy Arango when I arrived. I spoke with [VICTIM #1] who stated that earlier in the day [VICTIM #1], Darius and other family members were at a pool party.
According to [VICTIM #1], an argument ensued between Darius and other family members which escalated into a physical dispute. [VICTIM #1] explained that during this time, he was placed into a rear naked choke by Darius, where he could not breathe. [VICTIM #1] said that other family members helped get Darius to release [VICTIM #1] before leaving the pool.
[VICTIM #1] then said that he went home where his roommate, [WITNESS #1] and [WITNESS #2] were staying. [VICTIM #1] stated that Darius walked to [VICTIM #1]’s house and proceeded to bang on the doors and windows attempting to get into the residence, while stating that he was “ready to go to jail.” [VICTIM #1] then said that Darius kicked in the front door where another physical dispute occurred between Darius, [VICTIM #1], [WITNESS #1] and [WITNESS #2] as they were attempting to remove Darius from the residence. Deputy Wilkins and I then transported [VICTIM #1] and Darius back to the residence to view the damage done to the door and ask [WITNESS #1] and [WITNESS #2] questions about the incident.
I spoke with both [WITNESS #1] and [WITNESS #2] who both stated that Darius did in fact kick the door in and initiated a fight with everyone present in the residence. [WITNESS #1] stated that when Darius entered the residence, he immediately swung at [WITNESS #1]. [WITNESS #1] stated that he was able to move out of the way and was not hit. [WITNESS #1] continued that Darius then punched [VICTIM #1] in the face before attempting to reach a nearby knife. [WITNESS #1] stated that [WITNESS #2], [VICTIM #1] and himself forced Darius away from the knife and out of the residence. Darius then began walking towards HWY 211 NW. During this time, I took photographs of the front door of the residence which was damaged. I have attached them to the case report.
I then read the Miranda warning to Darius who refused to talk to me. Darius, [WITNESS #1], and [WITNESS #2] did not report having any physical injury. EMS ensured that [VICTIM #1] was not injured from the rear choke. I provided [VICTIM #1] with a Family Violence pamphlet and briefly explained the information inside.
Due to violating OCGA 16-5-21(i) by choking [VICTIM #1] and violating OCGA 17-7-21(a) by damaging the front door, I informed Darius that he was going to be under arrest. Darius was searched incident to arrest and placed in the backseat of my patrol vehicle before being secured by the seatbelt. I transported Darius to the Barrow County Detention Center where he was turned over to the jail staff without further incident. My patrol vehicle was searched before and after transporting Darius and no contraband was found. Warrants were obtained for Darius Robinson.

[NARRATIVE #2 on July 04, 2026]
After making contact with [VICTIM #1], we decided to relocate to [100 BLOCK] Carnaby St. Prior to entering my vehicle, [VICTIM #1] admitted to having a small bag of marijuana which he handed over to me. I entered the marijuana into evidence for destruction.
