[NARRATIVE #1 on July 06, 2026]

On July 6, 2026, at approximately 0932 hours, I was in the area of Rockwell Church Rd NE and Gainesville Hwy. While Driving I saw a Black Hyundai Elantra with the license plate number [REDACTED]. It was parked in the middle of the roadway with a male and a female standing outside the car. I witnessed the male, who was identified as Jevon Harris, yelling in the female’s face, [VICTIM #1]. I then witnessed him shove her with both of his hands. At this point, I got out of my car and started to give commands to Jevon. Jevon leaned into the back seat, where I could not see his upper body.

I then drew my duty weapon and kept giving Jevon verbal commands to turn away from me and walk backwards towards me. I had to give multiple commands to Jevon, which he finally slowly complied with. I then had him go down to his knees so I could detain him. Once he was in a pair of double-lock handcuffs, I placed him in the backseat of my car and had [VICTIM #1] move the car out of the roadway.

I spoke with [VICTIM #1], and she advised me that she was [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. She stated that they were in a verbal argument inside the car about Jevon cheating on her. She stated that during the argument, she threw a drink she was holding, and it went everywhere in the car. She stated that Jevon then stopped the car and got out so he could clean it. [VICTIM #1] told me that Jevon did not hit her, but he did push her, and he’s also pushed her in the past.

I then spoke with Jevon, and he stated that they were in an argument over each other cheating. He stated that during the argument, the drink got spilled and it went into his eyes, forcing him to stop driving. He then stated that he and [VICTIM #1] were in a verbal argument, but he never pushed her and only yelled at her to back up. I explained to Jevon that he was under arrest for the following. OCGA 16-5-23(C) Simple Battery Against a person 65 years of age or older or against a female who is pregnant. I witnessed Jevon Harris push his girlfriend, [VICTIM #1], [REDACTED BY AGENCY] Jevon shoved [VICTIM #1] with both hands during an argument they were having in the roadway.

Jevon was transported to the Barrow County Detention Center, where he was turned over to Jail staff without issue. The backseat of my patrol car was checked both before and after transport.

[VICTIM #1] was given a family violence pamphlet and had it explained to her.

[NARRATIVE #2 on July 06, 2026]

I spoke with [WITNESS #1], who was a witness to the domestic, and got a four-minute video of it. I watched the video, and you can see in the video Jevon pushing [VICTIM #1] multiple times, as well as yelling in her face to the point where he was spitting in her face. The Video will be turned over to CID.
