[NARRATIVE #1 on April 15, 2026]
On On Wednesday , April 15th, 2026, at approximately 2104 hours, I, Ofc. Perry #149 was dispatched to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] Winder Ga 30680 in reference to a domestic dispute. I traveled CODE 1 to the location listed above in my marked patrol vehicle #537.
Upon arrival, I met Mr. Jon’Darreus Pope, Ms. [WITNESS #1], and Ms. [VICTIM #1]. I spoke with [WITNESS #1] and [VICTIM #1] first. [VICTIM #1] told me that she and her children, JUVENILE [REDACTED BY AGENCY], JUVENILE [REDACTED BY AGENCY], JUVENILE [REDACTED BY AGENCY], and JUVENILE [REDACTED BY AGENCY], were eating dinner when her mother, [WITNESS #1], and her brother, Jon’Darreus, came home.
[VICTIM #1] said that they were not arguing when they first arrived home, but there was tension between them. [VICTIM #1] said that at some point, things escalated and they started arguing, and Jon’Darreus seemed to be becoming more irritable, cursing and yelling. [VICTIM #1] told me that she told the children to go upstairs because Jon’Darreus was not calming down, and she did not want to hear all that he was saying. [VICTIM #1] did not want the kids downstairs in case things became physical.
[WITNESS #1]’s story aligned with [VICTIM #1]’s story. [WITNESS #1] advised us that Jon’Darreus may have had an active warrant for his arrest. Jon’Darreus did not wish to speak on the matter at all and did not cooperate with the officer who was speaking to him. I went to my patrol vehicle, ran Jon’Darreus’s information on GCIC, and it returned that he had an active warrant. I approached JonDarreus and advised him that he was currently being detained. During the time I was waiting for Barrow County Central Dispatch, I determined that I would have charges of my own and advised him that he was placed under arrest for his active warrant and three counts of Cruelty to Children in the 2nd.
Jon’Darreus was escorted to the front of my patrol vehicle, and his person was searched for any drugs, weapons, or means of escape, and none were found. Jon’Darreus was then placed inside the backseat of my patrol vehicle, and a lap and shoulder belt was secured across his person. I then transported Jon’Darreus to 652 Barrow Park Drive, Winder Ga 30680 (Barrow County Detention Center).
Upon arrival, custody of Jon’Darreus and his belongings was relinquished to the Barrow County Intake Deputies. I completed all intake forms and completed a Victim Notification Form for the juvenile’s mother, [VICTIM #1], so she could be notified when he was out. [VICTIM #1] and [WITNESS #1] completed the Winders Police Department Statement Forms, and they will be attached to this report. During this investigation, I never determined enough probable cause to take family violence charges. I then returned to service with no further issues.

[NARRATIVE #2 on April 17, 2026]
I attempted to take three warrants for Cruelty to Children in the second for this case, but the Judge did not sign them due to lack of probable cause. However, the hold for Jon’Darreus Pope was still valid through Barrow County.
