[NARRATIVE #1 on May 24, 2026]

On 5/24/2025 at approximately 2358 hours, I responded Code 1 non-emergency to [1200 BLOCK] Ernest Elder Rd in reference to a Domestic Dispute.

Upon arrival, I met with the callers, [REDACTED] and [WITNESS #1]. Mr. and Mrs. [WITNESS #1] stated that at around 2345 hours, a female showed up at their door, covered in blood and claiming that her boyfriend had struck her in the head. The female arrived at the house holding a green towel against her head, trying to stop the bleeding.

When I arrived on scene, I was let into the home by Mrs. [WITNESS #1]. She walked me over to the kitchen table, where I observed a female who identified herself as [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] had a laceration/gash on the right side of her head, just above her temple. I asked her how she got the gash, and she stated that she and her boyfriend had gotten into an altercation at his house at [200 BLOCK] Giles Rd, where he threw some things at her. I asked her to elaborate, to which she stated her and her boyfriend, Justice Polson, have been on and off for a while. She stated that she recently moved out of their house because of their recent issues, but came back on this night to retrieve some dresses from the house so she could attend a funeral.

She stated that she and Justice woke up so that he could get ready for work, and things were fine between the two of them. They walked outside to meet his friend, [WITNESS #2], so he could get a ride to work. While waiting on [WITNESS #2], their other friend who lives within the shed at the residence, invited them in to sit with him while they waited. They obliged and walked into the shed. While there, she stated Justice began to be mean to her, calling her names and trying to provoke her into getting into an argument with him. She stated a brief one ensued before she finally got tired of arguing with him, stating she was going to leave if the argument did not end. He continued to argue with her, and the two began to walk out of the shed.

While they were walking out, she stated that he began to raise his voice and say increasingly mean things to her, such as that she was the reason her cousin died, and the reason her aunt died in a house fire. After hearing these things and after Justice cleared the threshold of the shed door, she shut and locked it. After she did this, she stated Justice began to scream at her and bang on the door. He became increasingly upset and began yelling, “I’m going to fu*king kill you b*tch.” After yelling this, he demanded that the friend open the door. The friend opened the door to the shed, and immediately [VICTIM #1] was struck in the knee by a glass. She stated that she believed the glass was clear, but was not 100% sure as to what color it was. She said then immediately after that, she watched Justice pick up a large metal magnet from outside and throw it at her, striking her in the head.

She stated she immediately felt the blood start gushing from her head, so she grabbed a towel from inside the shed. When she grabbed the towel, she saw Justice trying to pick up other things to throw at her. She stated she then grabbed the pepper spray out of her bag and sprayed him so that he would not throw any more things at her. At that time, she grabbed her things and began walking up the road, trying to get some help.

I walked with [VICTIM #1] to BCEMS Med 9 so her injuries could be treated. Once in the back of the med unit and she was being evaluated, I showed her a picture of a booking photo taken of Justice. She confirmed that it was him who did the things above to her. While on scene, [VICTIM #1] provided Deputy Hernandez with the magnet that she was struck in the head with. She stated she picked it up and put it in her bag while she was on scene. She was transported to NEGMC Barrow for her wounds to be treated.

I then drove to where the incident occurred at [200 BLOCK] Giles Rd. Once there, I entered the shed with other Deputies. I walked into the shed and immediately observed a broken glass sitting on the couch/futon. [VICTIM #1] stated that the glass was thrown from outside of the shed, straight in, and towards her as she stood in the center of the room. Her statement corresponds with the broken glass and the shards located in the immediate area. I turned and observed blood smeared along the wall in a couple of places, as well as a few drops scattered along the floor of the shed. The blood being in these areas corresponds with her statements of trying to exit the shed once she was struck by the magnet and was already bleeding.

After exiting the shed and picturing the scene above, I spoke with the homeowner and Justice’s mother, [REDACTED]. [REDACTED] stated that her son called her around 30 minutes before our arrival (estimated time to be around 2350-0000 hours), stating that he and [VICTIM #1] had gotten into an argument. She stated that he had been picked up from work a few minutes prior to Deputies arriving. She stated that Justice worked at the bakery on McNeal Rd, located at 82 McNeal Rd. Deputies and Officers from the Winder Police Department met there in an attempt to make contact with Justice.

Once there, I met with the employee who gave Justice a ride from his home, [WITNESS #2], and the manager of the bakery, [WITNESS #3]. I asked if Justice was at the bakery, and they stated no, that he had left just a few minutes before law enforcement arrived on scene. I then asked [WITNESS #2] what happened at the house. [WITNESS #2] told me that he arrived at his house just as the incident with him and [VICTIM #1] occurred. He stated he saw [VICTIM #1] and Justice yelling back and forth before she shut the door to the shed. He stated he then saw [VICTIM #1] exit the shed and try to kick Justice. Once Justice was almost kicked, he then saw Justice throw two things at [VICTIM #1], but was unable to tell what the things were. He stated [VICTIM #1] then walked back out of the shed and pepper-sprayed Justice, to which Justice came and got into [WITNESS #2]’ van, and they left for work.

I walked into the bakery and asked Mr. [WITNESS #3] to speak with me about Justice’s whereabouts. He stated that the last time he was at the bakery, Justice had just come into work. He stated he observed him hurting from being pepper-sprayed. We then walked into the camera room and observed Justice walk out of the back of the store at around 0045 hours. He appeared to have walked out of the rear of the store, but could not be seen on camera. Checking the area on foot, Officers and Deputies located an area on a foot path behind the bakery that appeared disturbed. Based on this, Lieutenant Witte arrived on scene and deployed his K9 to locate Justice. The K9 tracked through the woods Northwest before stopping on Shoal Ct. At that time, all units returned to the bakery.

No contact was made with Justice after multiple attempted phone calls from multiple different people. Justice also fled the scene at the bakery prior to Law Enforcement arrival. Photos of the wounds, as well as the scene located in the shed, will be attached to the report. The magnet was seized and placed into evidence.

Based on the physical evidence of [VICTIM #1]’s wounds, the broken glass and blood located in the shed, the ability to seize the magnet used to strike [VICTIM #1], and the inability to get a statement from Justice, warrants will be taken for Justice’s arrest for the following offenses.

OCGA 16-5-21 Aggravated Assault Family Violence – Justice Polson did assault [VICTIM #1] with a metal magnet by throwing it and striking her on the right side of the head. This magnet weighs a significant amount and, when used offensively against [VICTIM #1], did result in serious bodily injury. She received a gash on the right side of her head, directly above her temple, requiring treatment at the hospital. Family Violence is being charged because the two are actively in a romantic relationship and previously lived together at the [200 BLOCK] Giles Rd address.

OCGA 16-5-23 Battery Family Violence – Justice Polson did commit the offense of Battery Family Violence by throwing a white glass at [VICTIM #1]’s leg. The glass broke, resulting in a small laceration and bruise to [VICTIM #1]’s right kneecap. Family Violence is being charged because the two are actively in a romantic relationship and previously lived together at the [200 BLOCK] Giles Rd address.

[NARRATIVE #2 on May 25, 2026]

On May 25, 2026, at approximately 1456 hours, I responded code 1 to [1200 BLOCK] Ernest Elder Rd for a follow-up for case# 2026-00031372. Upon arrival, I met with [WITNESS #1]. He stated that he found a big broken magnet in the trash can on the side of his residence. He showed it to me, and I observed a dried red substance suspected to be blood on it. I collected it and placed it in a brown paper evidence bag, and later placed it into evidence due to possibly being the weapon that was used the night before in an assault.

[NARRATIVE #3 on May 25, 2026]

On May 25, 2026, at approximately 2104 hours, I responded code 1 to [200 BLOCK] Giles Rd for a warrant service for Justice Polson.

Upon arrival, I made contact with an adult male who stated that Justice was in his bedroom. Another family member went down the hallway into the kitchen. I followed her into the kitchen as Justice was entering the kitchen from the other side. I approached him and placed him in double-locked handcuffs with his hands behind his back and checked for proper fit as I informed him that he was under arrest.

I escorted him outside to my patrol vehicle and searched him for contraband, but none was located. After I put him in the backseat of my vehicle, he began talking about the incident. I told him that if he wanted to talk to me about the incident, I had to read him something first. I read Justice his Miranda Warning to which he agreed to talk to me. He stated that he did not mean to hit [VICTIM #1] with the magnet. He stated that when he entered the shed, she began kicking him and sprayed him with bear spray, and that he could not see and just threw the magnet, but did not mean to hit her with it.

I transported him to the Barrow County Detention Center and transferred custody of him to the deputies on shift. Both before and after transport, I searched the backseat of my patrol vehicle for contraband, but none was located.
