[NARRATIVE #1 on May 20, 2026]

On May 20, 2026, I was dispatched to [REDACTED] in reference to a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, I made contact with the complainant, identified as [VICTIM #1]. [VICTIM #1] stated that his wife, identified as Manuela Arango, had been texting him throughout the day regarding him not helping enough with their child, [REDACTED BY AGENCY] (8 months old).

[VICTIM #1] stated that after arriving home from work, he took [REDACTED BY AGENCY] into the living room so Manuela could get some rest. [VICTIM #1] advised that while he was in the living room attempting to comfort [REDACTED BY AGENCY] by walking back and forth with him due to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] crying, Manuela entered the room because she was upset that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] was crying. [VICTIM #1] stated that Manuela then attacked him and forcibly removed [REDACTED BY AGENCY] from his arms.

While speaking with [VICTIM #1], I observed visible scratch marks on his inner left forearm and redness to his upper left chest area. Photographs of the injuries were taken and will be attached to this report.

Once a second officer arrived on scene, I made contact with Manuela Arango, who was seated on the bed in the bedroom holding [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. Manuela appeared emotionally upset and was crying. I asked Manuela what had occurred, and she stated that she had been telling [VICTIM #1] to help out more with [REDACTED BY AGENCY]. Manuela stated that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] crying upset her and caused her to overreact. Manuela admitted that she entered the living room and forcibly removed [REDACTED BY AGENCY] from [VICTIM #1]’s arms.

I then asked Manuela to place [REDACTED BY AGENCY] down momentarily and walk with me to the living room, to which she complied. Once out of the bedroom, I instructed Manuela to place her hands behind her back. Manuela was secured in handcuffs, double locked, and checked for proper fit. Manuela was advised that due to the physical evidence observed and the statements obtained from all parties on scene, she was under arrest for Battery – Family Violence and Cruelty to Children in the Third Degree.

Manuela was escorted outside and placed in the rear of Officer Carreon’s patrol vehicle. Warrants will be obtained for Battery – Family Violence and Cruelty to Children in the Third Degree. Manuela was transported to the Barrow County Jail by Officer Carreon and turned over to jail staff without further incident.
