On August 9th, 2026, I met with Lt Cole with the Cartersville Police Department in reference to a sexual offense incident that occurred in the county at [REDACTED].
Lt Cole spoke with a [REDACTED BY AGENCY] subject by phone. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated he requested to remain anonymous. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] stated that his friend on Discord, [REDACTED BY AGENCY], had advised that she had seen a video on FaceTime of her friend, [REDACTED BY AGENCY], having sexual intercourse with a male by the name of Alan Thomas. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] is a 14-year-old female and that Alan is a 32-year-old male. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised that he knew that Alan was arrested in DeKalb County for a similar incident. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] said that she did not feel right about knowing and seeing this information, and she wanted to tell someone, so she told [REDACTED BY AGENCY].
Lt Cole then went to [REDACTED] and met with [REDACTED BY AGENCY] and her mother, [REDACTED]. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] confirmed this information and advised that Alan had come to [REDACTED BY AGENCY]’s residence on this date between the hours of 1200 and 1800 to have sex. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] does have the video on her cell phone. [REDACTED BY AGENCY] advised that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] invited Alan over to her residence because there are no cameras at her residence. I notified on-call Investigator Chandler of this information.
Myself and Lt Cole went to TCBY located at 807 West Ave and met with [REDACTED BY AGENCY]’s mother, [WITNESS #1]. I advised [WITNESS #1] of the situation, and she granted consent for officers to take [REDACTED BY AGENCY]’s phone. While obtaining [REDACTED BY AGENCY]’s phone and the password, Lt Cole observed that the video of the incident was pulled up on the phone, confirming the information given was valid. I had [WITNESS #1] sign a consent to search electronic device form. [WITNESS #1] stated that [REDACTED BY AGENCY] had admitted to her about the entire incident. I then followed [WITNESS #1] and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] to her residence, where we met with Investigator Chandler. I provided Investigator Chandler with the consent to search form and [REDACTED BY AGENCY]’s phone. The case and scene were turned over to Investigator Chandler.
