[NARRATIVE #1 on July 13, 2026]

On July 13, 2026, at approximately 0020 hours, I, Officer T. Ware, was dispatched to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] Adairsville, Bartow County, Georgia, in reference to a physical domestic disturbance in progress. Bartow County 911 advised that the caller reported hearing a female screaming and sounds consistent with walls being struck or damaged coming from the residence.

Upon arrival, I approached the residence and observed a Bartow County Sheriff’s Office deputy already on scene standing outside the front door. I positioned myself near the front door to assess the situation and heard what appeared to be a male and female engaged in a verbal argument inside the residence.

I rang the doorbell while the Bartow County deputy knocked on the front door. Due to the nature and seriousness of the call, I checked the front door to determine if it was unlocked and found that it was unsecured. I opened the front door and observed two juvenile males lying on a couch in the living room. The older juvenile appeared to be watching YouTube on the television.

Officers on scene announced our presence and entered the residence. Officer Silvers cleared the downstairs area, where no adults were located. I observed a light on upstairs, and officers continued announcing our presence; however, no one responded.

As officers proceeded upstairs, I unholstered my department issued Clock pistol due to the unknown circumstances and potential threat. While ascending the staircase, I observed a Black male open a bedroom door. The male appeared to be wearing only boxer shorts. We identified ourselves as law enforcement officers and gave the male verbal commands to exit the room. The male then retreated back into the bedroom and partially closed the door.

I entered the bedroom and observed the male had what appeared to be dried blood on his chest, back, and arms. I also observed an adult female who was hysterically crying. The shirt she was wearing had what appeared to be blood on it, and I observed that she had a visibly swollen lip. I then informed the male to turn around in which I placed him in handcuffs and escorted him to my marked patrol vehicle.

I obtained the male’s identifying information and identified him as Demarco Tyler Moore. I then advised Mr. Moore of his Miranda rights. Mr. Moore stated that he did not wish to speak with me. Mr. Moore did advise that his front tooth was chipped.

I returned to the residence, where I observed blood throughout the two upstairs bedrooms and the upstairs bathroom. I then spoke with the victim, [VICTIM #1], who was visibly upset and repeatedly apologized. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that she did not call 911 and said that she “should have just come home.”

I asked Ms. [VICTIM #1] if Mr. Moore was her boyfriend, and she stated that he was. She advised they had been in a relationship for approximately two years.

Ms. [VICTIM #1] remained visibly upset, and I again asked her what had occurred. Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated that she and Mr. Moore had gotten into an argument and that “things just got heated.” She stated that she was hurt and repeatedly said that she did not want Mr. Moore to go to jail. I again asked Ms. [VICTIM #1] what had happened. She stated that she had gone to a bar with her sister, consumed a few alcoholic beverages, and that when she returned home, an argument began. When I asked what the argument was about, Ms. [VICTIM #1] stated it was because she had not called Mr. Moore.

I then spoke with Sergeant Asher and updated him on the incident while Officer Silvers continued speaking with Ms. [VICTIM #1]. Afterward, I returned to speak with Ms. [VICTIM #1]. I again asked what had occurred, and she stated that she did not remember what happened. I asked Ms. [VICTIM #1] where the incident had taken place, and she indicated it occurred in what appeared to be the master bedroom upstairs and did not occur downstairs.

Ms. [VICTIM #1] continued apologizing and stated that she felt like she was bothering officers. I advised her that she was not bothering us and that we were there to ensure she received the appropriate assistance.

Metro EMS personnel evaluated Ms. [VICTIM #1] and observed that she was missing one tooth. EMS personnel further advised that her remaining front teeth were loose, consistent with injuries sustained during the physical altercation. Officer Silvers located a tooth inside the guest bathroom upstairs. Officer Silvers photographed the injuries sustained by both Ms. [VICTIM #1] and Mr. Moore, as well as the blood located throughout the upstairs portion of the residence.

The juveniles’ grandmother, [REDACTED], was contacted and responded from Rome, Georgia, to take custody of the two juvenile children. The juveniles were released into her care.

Officer Silvers transported Mr. Moore to the Bartow County Jail. I subsequently obtained arrest warrants charging Mr. Moore with Aggravated Battery and two counts of Cruelty to Children in the Third Degree. A DFCS referral was completed, and all photographs were uploaded to the Adairsville Police Department OneDrive evidence storage.

[NARRATIVE #2 on July 13, 2026]

On Monday, July 13, 2026, I, Officer J. Silvers of the Adairsville Police Department Uniform Patrol Division, heard Officer Ware dispatched to [REDACTED BY AGENCY] in reference to a possible domestic disturbance. I radioed Bartow County 911 and advised that I would be accompanying Officer Ware to the call.

Upon our arrival, two Bartow County Sheriff’s Office deputies were already standing at the front door of the residence. Officer Ware rang the doorbell, knocked on the front door, and announced, “Police Department.” I was positioned on the right side of the front door. No one answered the door; however, we could hear loud arguing and crying coming from inside the residence.

Due to the nature of the call, Officer Ware checked the front door and found it to be unlocked. As we entered the residence, we observed two juvenile children in the living room. One juvenile was asleep on the couch, while the other was awake watching television.

Because I was unsure of the potential danger inside the residence, I unholstered my department-issued service weapon. I cleared the downstairs portion of the residence and found no adults present. Officer Ware continued announcing our presence by yelling, “Police,” toward the upstairs area, where we could hear individuals arguing.

I then moved behind Officer Ware as we proceeded upstairs. As we reached the top of the staircase, a male, later identified as Demarco Moore, opened a bedroom door, looked toward us, and attempted to close the door. Officer Ware and I gave Mr. Moore loud verbal commands to come out of the room and show us his hands. We then entered the bedroom, where we observed Mr. Moore and an adult female, later identified as [VICTIM #1].

Officer Ware instructed Mr. Moore to place his hands behind his back, and Mr. Moore complied. Officer Ware then secured Mr. Moore in handcuffs.

I observed a large amount of blood throughout the bedroom and on Mr. Moore. I also observed that Ms. [VICTIM #1] was bleeding from her mouth and had blood on her shirt. Additional blood was observed in the second upstairs bedroom and in both upstairs bathrooms.

I requested Bartow County 911 dispatch Metro EMS to respond to the scene. Officer Ware escorted Mr. Moore downstairs and secured him in his patrol vehicle.

I attempted to speak with Ms. [VICTIM #1]; however, she was hysterical and crying. I observed that her lips were severely swollen and that she was missing a tooth. While documenting the scene, I located what appeared to be Ms. [VICTIM #1]’ missing tooth in the upstairs guest bath room.

I photographed the blood evidence throughout the upstairs portion of the residence, as well as the visible injuries sustained by Ms. [VICTIM #1] and Mr. Moore.

Metro EMS personnel arrived a short time later and evaluated Ms. [VICTIM #1] for her injuries.

Ms. [VICTIM #1] contacted the juveniles’ grandmother and mother to respond to the residence and take custody of the children. A short time later, they arrived on scene and assumed custody of the juveniles.

After the scene was secured, I transported Mr. Moore to the Bartow County Jail without incident.
