On September 13, 2026, at approximately 1949 hours I, Deputy Ayala responded to 556 Hardin Bridge Rd (Hardin Bridge Boat Ramp) in reference to a domestic in progress.

Upon arrival, I met with the offender (Ms. Deshay Brian) who was sitting near the boat ramp. Upon exiting my patrol vehicle, I could hear Deshay yelling and shouting profanities at her boyfriend/victim (Mr. [VICTIM #1]). I advised Deshay to stop yelling and calm down to which she continued to be irate. I then asked Deshay what had occurred today. Deshay said I could speak with [VICTIM #1] then continued to yell at him. I then asked [VICTIM #1] to step away from Deshay to speak with me. Deshay continued to be uncooperative and irate with myself and other deputies on scene.

I then spoke with [VICTIM #1] and asked him what had occurred today. [VICTIM #1] said himself and Deshay had been verbally arguing while kayaking down the river. [VICTIM #1] advised once at the boat ramp, the argument continued and began getting heated. [VICTIM #1] explained the reason for the argument was due to Deshay getting upset at him for not wanting to fight harder to get custody of his daughter. I then explained to [VICTIM #1] that Bartow Dispatch had advised me Deshay had possibly thrown his keys in the river. [VICTIM #1] said Deshay did not throw his keys, he explained while attempted to get the kayaks out of the water, the kayaks flipped and the keys fell into the water. [VICTIM #1] also advised himself and Deshay currently live together but do not have any children together. [VICTIM #1] advised nothing ever became physical. He said it was only a verbal altercation that took place.

While speaking with [VICTIM #1], deputies on scene detained Deshay in handcuffs due to her continuing to be irate and uncooperative. I then asked [VICTIM #1] if she had been drinking tonight. [VICTIM #1] advised she has.

At this time, I was informed by deputies on scene that a witness had observed the altercation from his vehicle.

I then spoke with the witness (identified [WITNESS #1]) he advised he observed Deshay and [VICTIM #1] arguing by the boat ramp. [WITNESS #1] advised he observed Deshay walk away from [VICTIM #1] a few times before going back to [VICTIM #1] and continuing the altercation. [WITNESS #1] said he then observed Deshay walk towards [VICTIM #1] in an aggressive manner. [WITNESS #1] said this is when [VICTIM #1] began walking away from her so he would not get hit by her.

I then obtained [WITNESS #1]’s information for this report.

During this time, I was informed by deputies on scene that [VICTIM #1]’s vehicle had been damaged. I then walked to [VICTIM #1]’s vehicle which was reverse parked on the boat ramp. I then was able to observe the windshield of the vehicle was shattered. I also observed the vehicle had been scratched and damaged on the hood area and front right fender.

At this time, I was also informed by deputies on scene that Deshay had advised them of the chain of events of the incident.

Deshay advised her and [VICTIM #1] had a verbal argument regarding [VICTIM #1] not fighting harder to obtain custody of his daughter. Deshay advised [VICTIM #1] then got in his truck and backed it into the boat ramp to load the kayaks. She explained in the process of getting the kayaks in the vehicle, one of the kayaks flipped over causing his keys to fall in the river. Deshay said this caused the argument to escalate. She advised she was so upset about the incident she proceeded to swing at him and attempt to hit [VICTIM #1]. Deshay said she never made physical contact with [VICTIM #1] due to him backing away from her.

Deshay also advised she did throw large rocks at [VICTIM #1] in attempts to strike him with them. Deshay advised she may have missed and struck his vehicle in the process.

Photographs of the damages were obtained by body worn camera of deputies on scene.

At this time, Deshay was explained she was under arrest for Aggravated Assault FVA and Criminal Damage to Property FVA.

I observed the rocks Deshay was attempting to strike [VICTIM #1] with near the vehicle. It was clear if Deshay would have successfully struck [VICTIM #1] with the large rocks, it would have caused serious bodily harm. The damages on the vehicle exceed $500 due to the windshield being shattered, hood being scratched and front right fender also being scratched and damaged.

Deshay was transported to the Bartow County Jail where she was turned over to jail staff for booking.

Warrants will be obtained for the above charges.
