On August 10, 2026, I was dispatched to [REDACTED], in reference to a welfare check, which, after investigation, turned into a domestic disturbance.

Upon arrival, I spoke with [VICTIM #1], who stated that Dixie Brackin was supposed to be at work at 1730 hours. [VICTIM #1] stated that when he arrived home from work, Dixie would not let him in the house and tried to close the door in his face. [VICTIM #1] stated that he pushed past her and found the house a mess. [VICTIM #1] stated that there was food all over the house, miscellaneous items scattered all over the house, and all three children were naked and covered in syrup. [VICTIM #1] stated that he told Dixie that he would help her clean the house later. [VICTIM #1] stated that he told Dixie that he was going to take the children and leave the residence, at which point she grabbed his keys and hid them.

[VICTIM #1] stated that he then took [REDACTED BY AGENCY], [REDACTED BY AGENCY], and [REDACTED BY AGENCY] into the bathroom and began bathing them. [VICTIM #1] stated that he locked the bathroom door behind him to keep Dixie out. [VICTIM #1] stated that Dixie kept breaking into the bathroom and yelling at him. [VICTIM #1] stated that at one point, she punched him in the back of the head and smacked him on the shoulder, scratching him. [VICTIM #1] stated that at another point, while still bathing the children, Dixie opened the bathroom door and held a knife to herself, saying that she was going to kill herself because he was going to leave with the children. [VICTIM #1] stated that after the children were bathed, he left them in the house, went outside, and called the police. [VICTIM #1] stated that after he called, Dixie came outside several times, yelling at him. [VICTIM #1] stated that they already have an open DFCS case due to Dixie not taking care of the children while she is supposed to be.

[VICTIM #1] stated that during the altercation, he did not touch Dixie.

[VICTIM #1] had a red scratch mark on his left shoulder that was plainly visible.

Cpl. Kelci Ashworth spoke with Dixie, who stated that she had fallen asleep around 1100 hours and woke up around 1600 hours. Dixie stated that the house was a wreck when she woke up due to the children. Dixie stated that she did try to keep [VICTIM #1] from coming into the house due to the mess. Dixie stated that after [VICTIM #1] was in the house, they were in a verbal argument where she “got up in his face” and [VICTIM #1] shoved her, so she shoved him back. Dixie stated that while [VICTIM #1] was in the bathroom, she never went into the bathroom and never held a knife to herself, stating that she was going to kill herself. Dixie did admit to hiding [VICTIM #1]’s keys; she stated that she put them on top of the cabinets in the kitchen.

When Dixie was asked about the scratch on [VICTIM #1]’s shoulder, she stated that she may have scratched him, but wasn’t going to say too much.

Cpl. Ashworth attempted to contact [REDACTED], their current DFCS caseworker, but was not able to.

A new DFCS referral was made to [REDACTED] with the Department of Family and Children Services.

Dixie was then placed under arrest and transported to the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office.

Warrants for Battery FVA, Criminal Trespass- Interference with Property FVA, and three counts of Cruelty to Children 3rd Degree FVA were obtained for Dixie Brackin.
